Are you not sure then Cranky?

    I'm pretending it's not here - I'm on a diet

DD & DS are also feeling much better so they'll be back to school on Monday. Bet they'll be pleased.

So is Master Cranky. With or without the invisible horse, snigger!

Ellie99 I have trouble with the gardening too. The arthritis hurts and the cats dug up their catnip plant roughly 15 times last year before it finally gave up and died.

Daft cats, digging up the catnip!
I had a large clump of catnip for our cat, he used to sit in the middle of it, with the flowers all around him, looking very happy :)
Now he's gone, I see neighbours cats daring to come into the garden for a nibble.

Does anyone have a fit gardener in a cupboard?

I used to have one living next door to me (+ wife and three small children) but when I was moving 3 ton of topsoil he lent me his big spade and it nearly killed me. I was using a normal house shovel and had sent DS3 to the old house to pick up my little spade. With the little one I could throw a spadeful at a time over to the centre of the front garden and then spread it out when I had accumulated a small pile. With his spade, well I could barely lift it and had to carry each spadeful across. So I waited until he had taken the children out for the afternoon and switched back. Was even more fun when I finished the front bit and had to start ferrying the remainder down the side passage to the back garden.
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

:rotfl: I think that would be too much excitement for me :rotfl:

mothernerd, I can't decide if your neighbour was a gentleman for loaning you the spade, or not, because he didn't offer to help?

Hmmm....I'm getting the germ of a business idea here....should I lose my job later this year....it won't make much money but it might be very pleasant....Could call it something like "Girl in the Cupboard".:j

Could give me quite a varied working day....

I'm up as early as though going to work today :(. Slept like a log both before I went to bed ;) and after. Am tired, but got lots of energy...very strange feeling!

Got lots of chores to do today, but have made the horrendous mistake ;) of sitting down with my cuppa, garden programs on and LMMM purring on my knee...if only all mornings started as pleasantly as this!

Glad you're improving Mum2One and Mothernerd. Health is so important...I know we know that, but we (or I) take it so much for granted...my cough is taking on a life of its own :(

    Enjoy your Sundays!

The day in the life of a pet sitter...just let's say I didn't expect to be outside a customers house late last night in my pj's trying every key I had whilst knowing they were the wrong ones, clutching a torch...it was only afterwards that I thought what if the police had shown up! :o.

Dash home to find them, wondering how I was going to persuade a locksmith to pick the locks on a house that wasn't mine...but found them, flew out the door again, forgetting my coat and wasn't until I was driving I realised I only had pj's on...

Long story, suffice to say customer told me the wrong date to arrive and I was called by them from abroad asking how I was....how I was, I thought, that's odd to ask...then the penny dropped.

Wouldn't mind one myself either. Really handy if he could double up as a plumber too... :rotfl:

That's great news Mum2one, relieved you're healing nicely & I love the comment about replastering; never heard it called that before. Glad you're also getting better Mothernerd. As usual LB's comment about health is right - certainly guilty of taking mine for granted & burning the candle at both ends + in the middle (as there's just too much to do as a singlie) has had an effect on how quickly, or not, I'm getting over this flu. And that's only been 2 weeks :rotfl:

You could start a franchise - handy as we're all quite spread out over the country, aren't we?

I've got lots of chores to do today as well, as feeling up to doing some of the computer based chores, but still not sure I want to be doing too much physically just yet. Would love to change my sheets but I can't face the thought of wrestling with the duvet so it can wait - after all it's just me in there :D. DD & DS are pretty helpful around the house, provided I point out what needs doing obviously :), but even they moan about helping with my duvet.

I think the idea of sitting down with tea & LMMM sounds far better than chores. What do the cats think about your cough? The cat-that-isn't-mine jumps each time one of us sneezes & looks a bit bunny in the headlights, so we haven't seen very much of him lately. He just appears for breakfast & tea, doesn't say much & doesn't hang around for long after filling his belly.

It's like being married all over again :rotfl:

Have a lovely Sunday all - still in PJs here & on 4th cup of tea. Bliss.
& as for some happy ending I'd rather stay single & thin :D

Wow Byatt, you are just having the most exciting time of it, aren't you? What have you got planned for today? White water rafting?

Now't wrong with only having PJs on :rotfl:
