Managed to sort some more of the school uniform, at a more affordable rate... hit sports direct, plan is, jog bottoms, hoodie, football socks, shorts, gum shield, - rough estimate get all them for under £25.. the school version of jog bottoms are £20+...
-asda for trousers and 1 skirt
-Tesco - school sweatshirts, plain polo shirts
-School - pe shirt (£15)
That just leave football boots to get.

Morning folks.
Yesterday with LB was de-lousing the girls, not that the have any, but to keep on top of them never getting any. Girls were pretty well behaved considering....LB and myself possible had more powder on than the girls....well definitely LB anyhow.
They are more confident than when I last saw them, and Maisie is a real character. My wellies have strawberry print on them, and she kept pecking at my boots....so I think it's safe to say that they deffo see colour. She also is a bit of a theif, jumps onto treat bin when you take the lid off to sit in worm bag munching....lol.
We suspect she had done off with my sunglasses.....LB thinks she saw her wearing them and looking at herself in the mirror.
Mad cat was initially a bit freaked at a new person in the house, but young boy cat was totally cool with me, so that's good news, and old boy was cool as ever and not bothered who is about in general, more bothered if there is food he can sneak, and sleeping on LB'S pillow.
Then it was garden centre.....things bought in the sale, and I have eventually got a chiminea, so if electric and gas goes off I can still cook in the rain or snow....just need to get some logs now.
Gonna try out chiminea on sat with LB, she's making pizza dough, and we'll have some skewered meat and veg.
Sat I had dug out lots of stuff in garden, so replaced a couple of things yesterday....not that I really know what i'm doing...it will be trial and error for the first year or two I guess. I just went for thing that have blue flowers at that's my favourite.......Ooo, and some cat mint for Asbo.
Then eventually we had lunch.
Today i'll be messing around in the garden, and am waiting for mate to turn up to get chiminea out of car as it is really really heavy!...then I might go get some logs.
at some point today I need to go get a prescription done, and probably get some food if I can be bothered to go out of my little castle that is....and may get some bulk cat litter in (and check what's in the bank accounts.)
Have a good day peeps.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0 -
Calico Sounds like you & LB had a great day.
Have a great day everyone whatever you are up to.A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.

Ruddy heck...i've just spent nearly 50 smackeroonies on bits of wood and chimenia 'logs'...but to be fair I have no idea how long it will all last so it may not be as bad as it sounds and may last 2 years. I am going to be keeping my eye out for logs from now on, and I probably didn't get it at the cheapest place but the only shop round here I knew would sell it.
It's all a learning curve isn't it.
I had kept some of the old dead ivy twigs to use as kindling...but thinking about it ivy is poisonous isn't it?? Will have to google this before I kill myself.
On-one in the shop knew how many 'logs' I need to put on either, so will have to google this too.
Exciting stuff......again....easily pleased.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0 -

You can make your own polish with a small amount of lemon juice and olive oil. Mix it together or just shake it together in a small glass jar and then use a tiny amount on a cloth- leave to dry - then a quick rub with another cloth."This site is addictive!"

Hello
Hope you don't mind but think I'll join as I'm single after a lot of heartbreak in the last 5 t years, the most recent being a few weeks ago
I find it very tough being single as I'm almost 36 and scared I'll never have children
A support group would be goodI want to be a writer0 -
lulabelle - big hugs, sorry about the heartache, your among a lovely bunch of ladies here. xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0

Welcome Lulabelle,
I found it hard at first, as had always been in a couple and living with someone from 18 to 37ish, and then usually going out with someone up until 42 I think.
So, 6 years pretty much single now, you will get used to it, I didn't even know how to pay a bill until 32 as the bloke had always sorted all that stuff out....i am now totally independent.
Also, you don't know what is round the corner, you could meet the bloke who is right for you next month for all you know.
Hugs though, it's krap when it's all fresh.
Are there any friends who you could go out with to cheer yourself up a bit, nothing like a good man-moan with the girls......and shallow it may be, but retail therapy works for me.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0 -
Hi lulabelle,
I'm a bit of a lurker on here but just wanted to say hi, and send hugs too. It can be hard can't it. I've been single a long time after a bad relationship. Time makes it easier though and I am sooo thankful we're not together any more.
And to echo Calicocat you may meet someone very soon
