Evening all - my day has been a PITA and I'm feeling a bit  with work. Just trying to decompress and let it go until tomorrow.....
....and breathe....try not to let it affect the enjoyment of your home life, though I'm a fine one to talk! Hope you manage to sleep well. That usually helps to make things feel a bit better.
Big Hug!

I think that's just lovely. If we all did a little more of this, how lovely a world it would be.

Thank you.
My period of week time living alone ends this evening when my resident parent returns home from galavanting.
I'm really not looking forward to it. While I know the reality of full time single living not by choice is different I realise how well my part time single life has come to suit me, giving me time to be silent..
I can only hope there is a holiday for parent soon!0 -

Surely as an adult, no one can tell you to go to bed early...? Now, as an adult, I DREAM of early nights, am desperate for them! Naturally, I blame my Mam...
Loving the cat stories. Ninja and Princess sound lovely. My own YBC has decided that the new woollen throw on the sofa is THE place to sleep at the moment. I haven't the heart to say no.
Enjoy your afternoons, All. It's a beautiful sunny day here. Shame to be cooped up in the office, but hey, such is life. Curry night with some colleagues tonight though, which is cheering me up. Yum!

I'm loving the cat stories too, & spending far too long thinking about how I could fit another cat into my home - which I CANT but really want to. Looking forward to pictures RPP. The cat-that-isn't-mine-but-thinks-he-is is happily lying on my clean sheets with a "yeah, what?" look on his face. Haven't the heart to move him either.
I was always sent to bed early too so my mum could have peace (which I understand better now I have kids). I thought I'd stay up all night as a grown up just because I could, but now I fantasise about early nights with proper cocoa or Horlicks :rotfl:. If I make it to 10 then I think I've had a late night.

I don't think that qualifies as true nutter behaviour - I think its lovely & it would certainly brighten up my day to receive a compliment. Very unlikely though, given my fashion sense (non-sense?)lostinrates wrote: »Thank you.

Hope it goes well for you this week - while I'm not single by choice I know I'd need a lot of quiet time to recharge which is so much easier when you are single.
Have a good day all :j & LB enjoy your curry tonight& as for some happy ending I'd rather stay single & thin

Thank you...curry was last night, and absolutely delish :T
Had a bit of a shock this morning as I turned the dial on my shower to switch it off. It sheared off, and was stuck on COLD (well, wouldn't you know it!), which had me flapping about a bit. A fair amount of swearing went on, too.
So, a new shower is needed as well as an electrician. Naturally, in panic, I rang the electrician I was never going to ring again, and he has actually been really helpful (I suspect he is frightened I'll cry again)..., so I hope to be up and running in a few days, and hopefully, no disruption to the bathroom that I cannot afford at the moment.
In the meantime, I fully expect to have horrible....nay...frightening hair until I can get my hair washed properly again in fresh water :rotfl:. Oh the luxuries we take for granted!
And now my money is being stretched in far too many directions so must be extra frugal the next few weeks to deal with the priorities...unfortunately hobby chickens isn't a priority so will need to drop down the list again

Had to smile at that with the cat, when our last neighbours they had a black fluffy cat, the name couldn't say, it was a weird one, the cat use to sit on the patio chairs under the plastic covering, - so we asked if they wouldn't mind if we put a bowl of water as the cat use to spend hrs under there - they were great no probs, - our then dog was very poorly, and the cat then ventured inside and started sharing the dogs bowl and his food, she use to wait till he had finished and eat the rest. When we lost whisky (the dog), the cat then started treating the front room like her own, - so funny the neighbour came round to see how we were all coping, when DD carries her cat in and says do you like our new cat shes adopted us, - how none of us laughed we never knew. The lady then asked us did we want to keep the cat as it was happier here, we said no as going away and in our heart of hearts knew we wanted another dog.
Apparently every day while we were away the cat would sit by the back door waiting to be let in, then when the new pup arrived - she took an instant dislike to him and never came back to us, xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Hi chums.... from a very tired GQ. All I've managed in the evenings is to sit in a chair then get off to bed, but that's my working week finished and it's Scrabble tomorrow morning. En route I pick up a keen player who's 94 years young, and has had a very interesting life. None of us take the game too seriously and we help each other out, whilst drinking quantities of tea/coffee and catching up with chat.
Loving the cat stories, and the youtube link to the unusual friendship. My three are keeping the bed warm for me, and that's my next port of call.
I'll be back when I'm a bit less stupid with tiredness. I hope everyone is well.If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

Hope the new cats settle in well.
We had to have our wee beastie put down a 3 weeks ago as he was so ill. The house seemed so empty without him that we couldn't not have another cat. I lasted less than a week before ringing the rescue centre.
So we now have a lovely female cat about 2 years old. She is a friendly thing although a bit nervous of sudden movements / strange noises.2024 Fashion on the Ration - 3.5/66.5 coupons remaining1 cardigan - 5 coupons13 prs ankle socks - 13 coupons5 prs leggings - 10 coupons4 prs dungarees - 24 coupons1 cord jacket - 11 couponstotal 63 coupons0 -

She sounds 1 very lucky cat.
We were the same with dogs, I'm 42 now and the longest we have been wthout a dog was 5 weeks, it was awful, made worse as we had choose a puppy but we were going on holiday but were lucky as the lady held him us, and my parents came back after the 1st week to collect him, while DD and I stayed on holiday.
It was more weird as we met a lady from mse site, and her grandson, and spent most of the week with them, she was an amazing lady, we met her family, her dogs, she passed away last year with cancer. It was so weird when we were at dogs trust wend - there was a dog same breed and same name as the ladies dog (def wasn't the same one) it was weird.. xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0
