  • I have come home with no cat. (Or should that be no cat - yet?). (The rescue centre I went to does not allow anyone to select an animal and take it that day). I don't have any reserved in my name either (yet!).

The gorgeous boy I went to see has now been classed as unsuitable for anything other than being an only boy. He was so beautiful and playful that I wanted to tuck him under my arm and ...

It seems so hard that he has been there now for 2 years waiting for his forever home. Can you tell I'm a sucker for them?

I'm now pondering about taking a pair. Only which pair ...

Oh goodness! That brings back memories from 14 years ago of trying to choose a cat. So incredibly difficult, every one of them deserved a good and loving home. OBC was the very last one I looked at as he had been troughing food for my whole (2 hr plus!!) visit. Having chosen a fluffy pretty female cat, it was sheer fluke that I picked up OBC to give him a cuddle. He turned to me, put both front paws on my shoulders, looked deep into my eyes, and purred the loveliest purr ever, and that was it! Love at first sight for us both. We've adored each other ever since :o

It breaks my heart to think of all those cats, so desperate for a home. I'm going to have to go and poke my two, to wake them, cuddle them and tell them how lucky they are.

Guess they won't feel that lucky at getting a poke to wake them up :rotfl:

Hope you manage to decide which are going to be the lucky ones this time, RPP...

    LB xx

Aw - this is why I don't go to any rescue centres as I'm sure I'd come out with at least one cat ( if they'd let me rehome). It breaks my heart to think of them all being in a rescue centre. I'm looking forward to be a mad cat lady when my kids leave home.

Soooo jealous - I'd love another cat but the cat-that-isn't-mine-just-thinks-he-is would have a lot to say about it. He is such good company that I wouldn't want him to leave home...

Boddy - I hope all is getting better for you & yours.

Glad to hear many of us have had a PJ day - tomorrow will be a shock when I have to be up early & wear real clothes :rotfl:
& as for some happy ending I'd rather stay single & thin :D

Hiya BW, the weather has been fab here, but I've been feeling under the weather, getting over the chest infection, but just feel exhausted and very blah. So yes, have been lying down...:D

    Evening Byatt :)

Sorry to hear you are still poorly. I think lying down is most definitely allowed ;)

    BW :)

My Monday was quite intense, with no cuppa from 10.00am till I finished work at 5.00pm... then sat with an Earl Grey and decompressed before driving the 15 miles home.

Nothing has been done here tonight beyond throwing food to cook in the Remoska, and eating it... bed is calling, but I need to download a file that's needed for tomorrow - if I do it now, there's no danger of forgetting to do it in the morning... and I may get a better sleep!

Eighteen months ago, I went to choose one kitten and ended up with two... to add to my existing elderly mog, who has adapted so well and has a new lease of life with 2 juveniles [STRIKE]plaguing[/STRIKE] playing with her.
If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.
