havent had the puter on since thursday but have been busy and achieved a LOT
on friday i finally took a bite out of a rather large and toxic frog that is almost 30 years old and has been causing me so many sleepless night and worry for the last couple of years. it had been there so long id got used to it then someone casually mentioned something and the worry wort in me went into overdrive but i couldnt see a way round it so its taken me this long to deal with. i did sleep better on saturday night im waiting for some related post to come this week confirming its been dealt with then there are just a couple of tadpoles it spawned to deal with. silly isnt it this has eaten me up for so long and worried me sick so while we were walking on friday Dh finally got out of me what it was and that afternoon after work he took me to get it sorted. id been fretting myself silly it would cause even more problems and even more trouble by facing up to it but all it took was a 5 min conversation and a couple of signatures.

I've had a Disaaaaster. My maiden has snapped! She won't stand up. I have so much washing to dry. The garden is a quagmire so I'm not putting it outside.
On the plus side I have an unexpected day off work. I'd best get to Arg0s to get a new one. Money I could do without spending.0 -

The garden gang have already decluttered half our straggly front hedge and much of the concrete outside the garage. They have dug up a huge viburnum which was in the middle where the new parking spaces will be, which I want to transplant into the flowerbed inside the fence. It's so pretty in winter with its bare branches and bright pink flowers, and the birds sit in it when they visit the feeders. If it doesn't survive the move, I will buy another, but it would take a long time to grow to this size.0 -

HH tidying/dusting200 weeks £25,000.00 / £7000 -
Morning all. Hope you're all ok. I'm in again this week although after two years flying, I don't need to declutter any rooms so any jobs relating to that will just be me sorting out the hall cupboards which are a bit messy although I made a start on Saturday.
.
Jazee - that is exactly how I hope to be - soon-ish.
For now have emptied the room of doom - so now the whole of the upstairs is in a right mess!!!!:rotfl:
Hoard includes 2 sleeping bags and about 4 quilts that need either washing and storing or getting rid of - decisions!!
Is it cheaper to buy a new summer quilt every year then bin it than to have it washed / dried at laundrette - £10 for a double and bit more for king size
Having a coffee now as have done about 45 minutes so will ponder that problem at my leisure.
Just glad I started early - will give me chance to have all finished before DH gets home or he'll have a royal fit!!!!!
By the way how do you know when everyone's birthday is, please? And Happy Birthday Coffee Queen.July 16 £95/£200
Nov 16 £0/£200

DS2 decluttered to school after his dentist appointment, he was an absolute star! He is terrified of the dentist after the previous butcher gave him a filling with KH holding him down in the chair  but he is finally gaining confidence :A He has another appointment next Monday where they are going to "try out" local anaesthetic and one more at the end of Feb to give him a go at gas and air, then she's going to attempt an extraction of a rotten baby tooth
If all goes well he will have to have three more removed as his mouth is seriously overcrowded, if he doesn't stand for it he will have to be referred to the dental hospital and put under GA to have all 4 removed. So a long road ahead but I am feeling very proud of him
LR dusted and tidied before we left. Second load in WM, just going to get the first on the airer and then start rooting through my cosmetic drawers.
Cuppa first though0 -
Hi there,
MSE newbie here (although I must confess to being a long time lurker on the Grabbit section). I've been FLYing for 9 years on and off and I've slipped a bit with routines and in all honesty, never got the shiny sink down but I'm doing my best for a fresh new start since the new year. I'm about 80% clutter free these days (damn that pesky under the stairs cupboard that looms over me!). I know the FL system inside out, so hopefully might be able to pass on some tips to some newer FLYer's once I'm up and running again.
I'm married with 2 very messy boys, one a toddler and I run my own business working around them so life can be a bit chaotic at times.
I've tried lots of times to use the FL 24/7 Chat but struggled to keep up with conversations so wondered if I could join in here instead?
I'm trying very hard to cut down my internet time at the moment so I can't promise to keep up with conversations here or even that I'll check in every day but knowing I'm 'on the team' will be a bit of a motivator for me.
I'm kicking off today with the kitchen and I'm using the first 15 minutes of the crisis cleaning 101 podcast to get that cleared0 -

Welcome WorldOfQuid and Odile. We are a very friendly bunch here
WOQ, I'm not quite sure what you are referring to with "FL 24/7 Chat" and "crisis cleaning 101 podcast". There are very few people on this forum who use the American Flylady site, which I assume you do - instead we tend to follow the system described in the first posting in each weekly thread and the "to do" lists lovingly compiled by our Leading Flyladies Dusty and Natty - though most of us fly to our own list when it suits us betterEach to his/her own: we just look for inspiration and lots of support, which is available in abundance here.
The garden gang have discovered the cable TV entry point  - fortunately our TV, internet and phone come in overhead, courtesy of BT0
