Welcome to the flylady thread no invitation needed just jump in and start posting
If you need help getting your house in order, dealing with your clutter and getting the cleaning done then you're in the right place.
Plan for this week is to concentrate on one bedroom starting with decluttering and tidying and moving on to deep cleaning. Along side this we shall aim to keep on top of the basic flying.
If you would rather do 'normal flying' here is a link to this week in 2013 for you to use instead (but please feel free to post on here as usual)
HHC - Half Hour Challenge
WM Washing Machine
DW Dishwasher
TD Tumble Dryer
Marvellous Monday Basics
Wipe the kitchen sides (just what you can see)
Clean the kitchen sink, slosh some soda crystals and hotwater down
Hoover and mop the floor
Bedroom Declutter
Today's aim is to deal with everything you can see without opening drawers/cupboards, looking under beds (don't worry that will come). For some this will be easy for others a huge challenge.
Imagine how you would like the room to be at the end of the week.
Now pick up an item (cloth in hand to remove the dust as you go;)) and ask youself:
Do you love it?
Do I use it?
Do you need it?
Take 3 large boxes or laundry baskets, anything which gets 3 yes votes goes in the to keep box. Anything which gets 3 No votes goes in the get rid of box. Now the tricky bit anything with some Yes votes you need to decide on whether you keep it or not. You can have a undecided box but try not to put too much in there (or you'll regret it later on in the week
) Try not to keep things just in case you may need them, because somebody gave it to you, because you feel you should love it.
The first 30 minutes is usually the most successful so get off to a good start and then have a break or your ability to make decisions will decrease.
Tremendous Tuesday Basics
S&S toilets and sinks
Hoover and mop the bathroom floor
shine mirrors
Bedroom Declutter
Start with yesterday's undecided pile. Ten minutes with fresh eyes make a decision for each item whether you really need to keep it or if it is going in the get rid of pile.
Today's aim is to deal with all the stuff that is hidden away under the bed, on top of the wardrobe, in drawers. Concentrate on one area at a time.
Empty everything out
Hoover or dust inside the drawer/under the bed
Now back to the same rules of yesterday only putting back things you love, use and need. The other things add to yesterday's boxes.
When sorting clothes be realistic especially with clothes which have not fitted for a while, will you ever really wear them again? Winter clothes which you have not worn yet this year, what is the reason? If they need cleaning/mending/debobbling leave them out and get this done so that you can enjoy them.
Wonderful Wednesday Basics
Hoover Living Room, Hall and stairs (leave the hoover upstairs
)
Quick dust over of tvs, screen and electricals
Deal with any urgent paperwork - have you done your tax return?
Bedroom - Let the deep Clean begin
A day off from decluttering apart from the stuff you already have in your boxes - is that undecided box empty yet? If not try to make at least 3 decisions on items now. How are you getting along with the stuff to go? Sort into bags for charity/stuff to carboot/ebay etc
Start high up and work down so that dust does not fall on areas you have already done
Ceiling first - I hoover mine but you could use a sheep on a stick
Next wipe the picture rail if you have one
Dust/wipe/hoover or take outside and shake the light shade, wipe the bulb (check it is cool first)
Curtains and cushions either hoover them, take them outside and shake and bash them or give them a wash all depending on car instructions.
Any pictures carefully remove from the wall and dust the back of, give the wall a wipe where they have been.
Dust behind the radiator - put an old sock on a a sturdy stick if you don't have a radiator brush.
We will finish the cleaning tomorrow.
Thursday Basics
S&S toilets and sinks
15 minutes dealing with hotspots/putting things away
Hoover anywhere in need
Bedroom - Finishing the deep Clean
Strip the bed. If you can turn the mattress and hoover it. Dust the bedframe.
Pull out any furniture you safely can and hoover behind it, dust the walls, wipe the skirting boards and replace
Wipe any doors, skirting and furniture with a damp cloth
Wash any ornaments carefully in the sink
Remake the bed with fresh laundry.
Put back anything in your to keep pile, finding homes for it all if you want to keep it - not just dumping it back in a pile in the corner and spoiling all your hard work.
Fabulous Friday Basics
Eat a frog
Have some me time, just 10 minutes with your feet up and a cuppa and book/mag if that is all you can manage but you must do something just for you.
Bedroom Finish Off
Hopefully you are all done and dusted and can now enjoy your new space, if not fancy one last push today to see what you can achieve?
If you haven't got as far as you would have liked then rejoice in the fact that you have made progress and plan for when you can do a little bit more.

I'm sort of in, Thanks Dusty!
Tomorrow I'm running errands, I need to do my tax return & sort out an exemption certificate. I will do other things, just not sure what yet.
Back to my ironing. I'm watching TV online as I'm not at all tired. I'm hoping lots of walking tomorrow will wear me out and I can reset my bodyclock again:rotfl:

Thank you kindly for the list, this is much needed for me however Monday should be quite easy, all my bedroom clutter is hidden behind closed doors. I bet saying that will come back to bite me by the end of the week. In theory I should then finish the day ha!
