Well I've done February's outgoings :(. ££££££ before food and diesel for DH's car. £2034 in fact. And that's without a mortgage . I am surrounded by bits of paper and there's a pile of washing sitting on the rug taunting me. Perhaps I'll fold it and sort out the load in the basket before I go out. Then I'll be a bit further ahead.
My lounge is full of poop. It's on every surface. Perhaps when we get to the lounge, I'll fling out all ornaments? And remotes and computery bits *Kaz wanders off muttering darkly.

Dusty, sorry you've had rows with your DH. I'm sure he understands you are under lots of pressure dealing with DS3's health issues at present.
LW, you are not useless, you have a genuine problem and you do what you can do. I always tell my children that as long as they do their best, it doesn't matter what a piece of paper says, they and we will be proud of their achievements because it is THEIR best. Remember, you can't give more than 100%!
HV's. Ah, the joys. Nuff said!
    Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.
    MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.
    2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.

I still have 2 frogs sitting on my desk, croaking loudly - I absolutely must deal with them as soon as I've put in the next WM load!

Since changing the WM load, I have pottered about and changed the drum unit and cartridge in my printer, which involved moving quite a lot around in the cupboard. Am I procrastinating? Yes, I probably am - will have to think about that for a few minutes :rotfl:

But I have found the Word files that I need to deal with the frogs, and I have swapped over to the b/w duplex laser printer, so it will be much easier and quicker to print them out. That's my excuse, anyway - it's a nice day here with som blue sky, and TBH I'd rather be going out to lunch at a garden centre or - better still - sorting out my own garden than being stuck indoors :( but the Garden Gang have put a bar across the front gate so we don't walk across their nice flat sand!

I still have four pages of fred to catch up with (out with DS2 yesterday pm and earlier night last night), but have read enough to know that lots of us are having a rough time at the moment. Thinking of you all. Dusty - have send you a pm on fb. Jazee - speedy recovery vibes for your DS on their way.

Most dailies are done, DH has gone off to get a new tyre and to look for some shoes. We'll head into town when he's back, but at least it gives me time to do a few more jobs around here. Time for a list, I think.

Well you can all have Pixie today...

I have two empty arms and no baby to fill them - nor any chance of ever doing so. Just occasionally I get broody, so if you want to wrap her up well, pop her in the post first class and send her down to me, that would be just fine.

Jazee sending get well vibes for your DS, and a (((hug))) for you.

Dusty, in the same way that someone on this thread gets busy with a paintbrush when things seem overwhelming, you get a little tense when your DH goes away. You are a fabulous, fabulous Flylady who keeps the rest of us sane. You are a wonderful friend to your terrifyingly poorly friends in RL and DS3 receives the best mothering a small chap who is missing his favourite mog could have. In my experience, if OH and I have a barney, when either of us phones too soon afterward to try and smoke a metaphorical peace pipe, the row gathers momentum instead. Please be gentle with yourself today and take heart - we've all been there and despite that, we're all (just about) still muddling through.

Lamewolf, I'm shocked at your language! The F-word! If your wrists weren't the problem, you'd be given 100 lines: 'I must love myself at least as well as I love my four-legged guests.' (You can use it as a mantra, instead.)

The bedroom looks a lot better, but the idea of the clothes sort defeated me. It's a WIP and I now accept I have way too many clothes.

OH has asked if we can do the sitting room bookshelf tomorrow - that took him 15 months of 'thought preparation' but we are finally there. Yay!
    Better is good enough.
  • LOL, honey bear had to go back and re read LWs post then:eek: i thought the 'other' word had got past the censors then. LW you are brilliant and posting on here hleps us all you are like a beacon of common sense and stability.
Dusty what honeybear said to you makes perfect sense

need to get reasdy for work now just nipped out and its really cold so a change of clothes and an extra layer is called for i think.

    'c' you all later

    Honeybear talks good sense :T

My diary is sorted for the next few days.

Tomorrow - I'm out at a meeting with some Germans all day including lunch; flying and baking in the evening. DH will be at home to deal with Freecycle collectors.
Sunday - out all day with DH, including nice lunch somewhere; finish flying in the evening.
Monday - I'm out with the Germans again all day including lunch; they're coming back here with me for afternoon tea and cakes. DH will be in all morning and can get the bus to his U3A group in the afternoon.
    :D

Just getting my own back for the weeks when I had to stay in and direct the building operations, while DH was gadding about :rotfl:

Also, the first frog has been taken out of his box and inspected thoroughly.... *ribbit*

Well I'm working on my shopping list. Its a slow process as I'm comparing nutritional values as well as price across Mr A and Mr Al. So while I'm doing that I'm watching stuff on the DVR (I'll only have Silent Witness left by the time DD comes home, and I'll leave that until the other part has been on tonight ;)) and doing maintenance stuff on my 'work' laptop. Its currently backing up to my external drive. I also need to back up DD's laptop at some point, even if its just copying documents across. ;) Looks like I'm going to be here some time...
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

    :o

Dusty, whenever I find thing are getting tough I (eventually, after tormenting myself for an acceptable amount of time) tell myself to go back to baby steps. In the early days I found I could only really cope with one thing at a time, one hour at a time. People first, attend to your loved ones, everything else can wait its turn. X

Jazee, gws vibes for DS (and hugs for you)

Just having a :coffee: and a cuddle. DW emptied, WM filled (not with same things) and I need to do an overnight bag for the littlies. DD and I had lunch out and they are having tea at granny and gramps's.

So I'll get on with decorating after the school run :o

Bless you, I so wished I could give you a hug when reading this as you sound so like my Moomin (mum).
She has been ill for a long time & as her carer I now do much of the cleaning in her bungalow (she was once a housekeeper) it's a real confidence killer for her & she often feels a failure..
It hurts me to see her obvious frustration so I tell her everyday that I love her for who she is, not what she can do & I'd rather have another 10 years of her being with us doing the best she can than for her to worsen her condition trying to have a home that's pristine clean.. x Sending big hugs x
Thank you; I tend to fluctuate between angry and miserable about this flippin' illness - this is not how my life was supposed to go, iyswim.:o You'd think I'd have accepted it by now, but..... no.

    GWS vibes for Jazee's DS

Kaz2904 thank the gods, my DH leaves all the finances to me, and if I say he can't spend money, he complies. I told him when I moved in that I'd sort out his messy finances and get it all back on track, but I wanted responsibility for the money. We have our own accounts, but can transfer money between ourselves easily. Keeping it all co-ordinated is my job, though. Oh, and DH also knows I won't spend if it's avoidable – in fact it's a standing joke that it takes a crowbar to get money out of my purse!
Some evil, grumpy old nag has inhabited my body :o Had a row with DH before he left the country for two weeks. He didn't say goodbye and I had to deal with a crying DS3 before doing the school run.
HB said it all a lot better than I could ever hope to, so just have a (((HUG))).

You've just hit the nail on the head - I've always had an intense dislike of myself, and find it hard to believe that anyone else could possibly like me.:o

Anyways, on a brighter note, I had a call today - the Princesses are coming to stay in April, and the Hairy Hooligans are coming in July.:T

Virtual Flying has been done, at least; and all the spreadsheets are up to date, and TWO backups of all the accounts sheets updated (ionafan - I keep TWO backups of everything that would be totally disastrous if it was lost - belt + braces, and all that);)
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
