  • Well, the "not much more" got done this morning (and the room is still looking good!) as I've been out from 12.45 pm-5.00 pm and then from 6.45 pm-just after 9. Managed to get a little bit of dot-to-dotting done after tea, but am off to the Land of Nod now. Am at home all day tomorrow, so here's hoping for a good night's sleep.

    Sweet dreams all.

Had a late night thought after sending the above - does anyone do their housework/decluttering just during the hours of daylight and everything else in the evening? Thought I'd give that a go today, but it doesn't feel as if it was v. successful. As I was out most of yesterday, I'm playing catch up in the bedroom and dot-to-dotting in the sitting room seemed to go slower than usual - am thinking of changing my name to Slowcoach!

And am out again tomorrow morning, won't be back until about 2.30-3.00 pm, so apologies to Dusty, don't think I'll be finishing the Bedroom Declutter on Friday, but possibly will over the weekend.

    Morning everyone.

    Just the dailies done yesterday.

Spent some quality time with DD. She had to come out so I said come to mine. Put the heating on made some lunch and we just sat and talked and laughed at the cat. I was gently trying to encourage her to look after herself better. I get accused of dictating/nagging though.

Earlier yesterday had to order new washer as my old ones gone to washer heaven.

So today it's catch up before I go shopping with DD.

Froddy. Hope you get your arm checked out.

    CY Hugs for your DD.

Hugs, sticks and spoons where needed.

Morning everyone - have been up since 6:30 but catching up on the thread and emails.

    Thursday Basics
[STRIKE]S&S toilets and sinks[/STRIKE] did yesterday
15 minutes dealing with hotspots/putting things away
Hoover anywhere in need - upstairs to do

Bedroom - Finishing the deep Clean begin
Strip the bed. If you can turn the mattress and hoover it. Dust the bedframe.
Pull out any furniture you safely can and hoover behind it, dust the walls, wipe the skirting boards and replace
Wipe any doors, skirting and furniture with a damp cloth
Wash any ornaments carefully in the sink
Remake the bed with fresh laundry.

Put back anything in your to keep pile, finding homes for it all if you want to keep it - not just dumping it back in a pile in the corner and spoiling all your hard work.
Mine is in a pile in the corner Dusty how did you know, have you been peeping!:rotfl:but I put it there on purpose ready for car booting. Intend to cover it all with a clean sheet - appropriate colour for that SW corner so it becomes just one thing not lots of bits - (feng shui tip). The fact that it is nearly as tall as me ?(I'm only short) doesn't matter! Hope it doesn't fall over in the night or I may have aheart attack.

Reply to RebeccaHarris - yes I try to do my tasks in daylight - which I can do now as no longer do paid work. I try not to do them after DH gets home or at weekends - but not really happy about that. Now the house is so much better I find myself PIIIP all the time.

Love hugs sticks and spoons where needed - wish I could get to York it sounds so much fun xx

This week I have been working in the basement. Actually started in the bedroom, where I had some painting gear under the bed in boxes, I wanted to place them in the basement, but the basement was a dungeon, and in the end I worked a whole day in the basement, sorted everything out, cleaned, decluttered, put some small cabinets in there and was able to put all my painting stuff there too. WOW. Sometimes being sidetracked can be an advantage :-) Catch the mood, that's how I'm living my sidetrackedness and it can really work out nice.
And it feels good to have nothing under the bed anymore, that's something I really wanted again. When I started FL 10 years ago I decided to have noting under the bed, bit it slipped in again.

Anyway, I stuck to my routines too, I am on top of laundry, dinner every night out of my pantry and fridge, and all the LR is about 15 minutes from being nice...

Now I will first empty the DW. Am dressed to shoes, with make up on etc, had breakfast (we have breakfast together every morning, DD11 sets the table while I pack dd8's bag, that's a great routine too), guess I'm doing fine!

    have a nice day!

Plan today is to go through our bedroom and tidy. I will hoover, dust and wipe down surfaces as well as go through the drawers and see if there is anything I can throw out.

I also will sweep and hoover the lounge and dust as this room is easy to clean!

Rebecca.. when flying properly I would get flying done in a morning so the afternoon and evening were my own and the whole point is to have the weekend off as family time. My daughter went to nursery 9-12 so I for whole lists done then with cuppas thrown in.

DS2 spent much of the night talking to God and still managed to get up and out to college today.. :D .. I believe DS1 and DD1 are still in bed... he puts them to shame!

I have decided Dot is being sent for dyspraxia assessment as soon as she is old enough.. She looks like a battered child she has so many bruises.. she spends half her time headbutting/face planting the floor, her forehead has 3 separate bruises at the moment! She is constantly falling and just splats rather than trying to catch herself.

Nail appointment this morning so I shall arrange the day for Bunny to go to his lovely new home.

    Morning all

    CY hugs for your DD

Bossy glad operation kids sleep is going well

School run done. Picked up a couple of other kids from the bus stop as the bus had not come and took them with me. Wondered afterwards if that was ok but they they were in uniform and so was DS3 and they do all tend to know the other 'bus' kids. It would hve felt wrong to just leave them.

AF here this morning, no wonder I have struggled with GUAG the last couple of days.

Off walking with my friend in a minute and then to town later for food and chores. I will fly later though.
