Well 11 years is too long. I was just looking it was 2011 when I last posted and you posted some cute pictures of Squeak. Where does time go!

ETA whoops forgot the rules Flying talk weekdays!!

Today decluttering lounge cupboards of old videotapes - we have no video - off to CS.
Bedroom is surprisingly clear except xmas boxes to go back into loft cupboard so thought I would do lounge.
Thanks to MSE savings we got to go to Disneyworld Florida.

The museum is very close to the station, pigpen, but if it helps I'd be happy to come and give you a lift. I've discovered that I like driving and it's a doddle on Sundays, anyway. :D

Plenty of treacle for wading around here, as well. This afternoons entertainment will include: catch up with fred while finishing cuppa, wash dishes, start mince base for cottage pie before decluttering a) a HHC in bedroom or b) a nap on the sofa. I have just over an hour.

    Afternoon and hugs to all.

Only skimmed so far as busy day of meetings but it looks like lots of you are down. Only been in 10 minutes and fallen out with DS1 already and I'm about to beckon him to the kitchen now. Cover your ears flyladies.

    Gorgeous photo, pigpen.
No flying as arm hurts :(

Have you been to the doctor's or A&E - just to register anything that's wrong, in case you need to make a claim? A few years ago a car bumped into the back of mine (I had stopped, waiting to turn off and he hadn't realised) and I had mild whiplash. I accepted compensation, but I think that's when the trouble with my shoulder started. It's worth having it on record.

Snap. My DS1 clearly resented that I was trying to help him get out of bed a bit earlier (which he said he wanted to do) and went to work in a huff. :(

I've walked the littlies to school. I've been to work. dS1 is loitering about the house. He hasn't lifted a finger to do anything but cook and leave all the mess for me. He's eaten all the bread so I can't make myself a sandwich. I'm not happy but don't want another row.

I need to get the swimming bag organised. We go straight from school.

I've tidied the kitchen and reloaded to DW and WM.

    Small steps etc.

Not a lot done today - shopping at L*dl, blood test, lovely walk with my friend and our dogs (plus a sneaky latte at the farm shop!) then lunch and a typing job. Fetched DS from school, now waiting for DD to get home from school as she has piano lesson. Tomorrow's another day!

Pigpen definitely leave LOs with DP so you can go to the meet up - go on, do something for yourself.

Lovely photo, such sweet looking girls.

been down shops/post office/recycling. did nearly all my tasks and nice lady in building society told be youngest shold move his savings into a different account as thats got a whole 2% interest instead of the 0.something% hes in now. its a kiddy account only for up to 16year olds but 2% added to a little bit is better than less than 1%.

found a recipie i want to do tonight on the monthly challenge thread and have all the stuff in so that tea sorted.

found a pillow in the airing cupboard and some nice fabric so that DD1s puppy bed sorted i just need to get the machine out.

Bossy reading your list of school woes, the one word that comes to my mind is incompetent. I hope to goodness the standard of education they provide is a lot better than their admin!

I'm very glad I have one of the easiest dogs to look after right now, as I'm having a tough time with the ol' joints. The paws are horrible; and it's becoming very frightening - if things keep going downhill I don't know how I'm going to manage. I'm gritting my teeth and trying to ignore the pain and the nasty grinding sound/sensation in my wrists, but that in turn saps my energy. I'm at a bit of a loss for what I can do to improve the situation; I'm using the wax bath when I can, and the infrasound device, and wearing my splints most of the time - I don't know what else to try.:(

Hi LW and thankfully, the teaching standard does seem good, judging by the difference in DS literacy between September and now. There is a new building going on too which may cause some priority conflicts I think :(
I'm so sorry you're finding it tough with your paws. Wish there was something I could suggest :(

Pigpen, you seem really down at the mo, maybe an afternoon of "sod them" would help? When DS was about 4mths old I left him with OH overnight. When I came back they were both shattered and had the same clothes on  (clean nappy though, DS not DH ;)) but they had eaten and they did survive. The house was a tip but do you know what, it was worth it. And never again did DH complain about how he'd "been at work all day" when he realised that so did I, and all night too!

Anyhoo, I'm just in from work (another 6am start today) so having a breather and will get the littlies from school club in 10min. Just waiting for the sausages to finish so I can turn the hob off. But I'm finished work for the week and I've banked an hour for when inlaws go away, so I can finish early and take DS to his swimming lesson.

MIL took them to school this morning and she appears to have washed up :A so not too bad here but I am behind with my spare room declutter. I will catch up tonight and I'm home tomorrow with DD so she can help me. It will be her room, after all!

Gah. I wonder what we'll be missing tonight? Shall we take bets? Lunch bag anyone? Coat? Child??? I might go into the main school tomorrow (nursery and reception are separate building) and check lost property there too.

Oh, operation sleep training, DD slept till midnight then I heard her crying cos she needed the loo :o so I took her then straight back to bed. She asked me to leave the gate open. I did, and she stayed in bed :T in fact MIL had to wake her this morning :rotfl: We're only on the third night! Hurrah!
