MrsChaos so sorry to hear about your little cat :(

    Happy Birthday Kazwookie!

Had lovely walk and now about to attack the piles of paperwork I have all over the lounge floor. Then might venture into loft as DH has found a box of toys for me to sort out.

I'm back, I've put on 1 1/2 pound over Christmas :o far less than I thought so its ok. They've started their new programme thing, whether I follow it remains to be seen, especially as I have already meal planned/ pointed my week

I cleared my airer (maiden? whatever :p) and filled it again before I left. I also put the DW on, so I need to empty that in a bit and reload with saucepans and that :o
I've unloaded the TD of DD1's "bottom drawer" washing. When I say bottom drawer I should really say baby drawer  SHE IS NOT PREGNANT!! She and her boyfriend are very work/college focused (thank goodness) but she has decided to start collecting bits for when she needs them. This was aided by "Cath Kidston has a sale Mum!!"
It's her wages she's spending so it's up to her  she now has a large plastic storage box with said C.K stuff in it and bits of real baby clothes she saved from her & DD2's baby dolls when we had a sort out. This actually includes a baby coat of mine! :D
Said box will be being stored in the furthest corner of the attic later and hopefully forgotten about ;)

Coffee and lunch to be decluttered then I'll S&S the bathroom and empty the cat litter trays. Then I'm working on the kitchen.

Sorry to hear about little cat Mrschaos we lost one of ours, I believe the same way before Christmas so really know how you feel

Hope we are doing dining room the week after next Dusty!!!

Seconded, although I'll be out of the house for most of Tuesday and part of Wednesday. It's the worst room in the house for assorted gibble and I will definitely need to resort to the '3 box system'.

HH bathroom and an outside job done, so I've stopped for lunch. DS1 has turned down a lift to work. The offer wasn't completely altruistic, as there's an ALDI I can call at on the way back. I may go anyway, because I need a few things. If I set off at 2pm I can be back in time to walk to DS2's school. :D

We were cat-less for a few years before this one decided to adopt us. Our first two lived to about 17 and one of them was run over, too, which is why OH doesn't want any more. DS2 and I would love another, but we were also talking about adopting a dog, so won't rush into anything.

I'll finish my cuppa and spend a few more minutes in our bedroom. Might also hoover upstairs while I'm there.

I've been slacking a bit over the last couple of days but I've been decluttering by selling on eb@y so busy packing and going to the post office.

I will start with my makeup drawer tonight.....

    Marvellous Monday Basics
[STRIKE]Wipe the kitchen sides (just what you can [/STRIKE][STRIKE]see) [/STRIKE]did that this morning
    [STRIKE]Clean the kitchen sink[/STRIKE]
slosh some soda crystals and [STRIKE]hotwater down[/STRIKE] what are soda crystals & where do I get them :o
[STRIKE]Hoover and mop the floor[/STRIKE] done by cleaners today (I sorta feel like thats cheating)

    Bedroom Declutter
    [STRIKE]
Today's aim is to deal with everything you can see
without opening drawers/cupboards, looking under beds (don't worry that will
come). For some this will be easy for others a huge challenge.

Imagine how you would like the room to be at the end of
    the week.

Now pick up an item (cloth in hand to remove the dust as you go;)) and ask youself:
    Do you love it?
    Do I use it?
    Do you need it?

Take 3 large boxes or laundry baskets, anything which gets 3 yes votes goes
in the to keep box. Anything which gets 3 No votes goes in the get rid of box.
Now the tricky bit anything with some Yes votes you need to decide on whether
you keep it or not. You can have a undecided box but try not to put too much in
there (or you'll regret it later on in the week ;)) Try not to keep things just in case you may need them, because
somebody gave it to you, because you feel you should love it.

The first 30 minutes is usually the most successful so get off to a good
start and then have a break or your ability to make decisions will decrease.

[/STRIKE] Well I should really have done the spare room, but I took the easy option by doing the master bedroom. All the carp is hidden in drawers & cupboards

    Tremendous Tueday Basics
    [STRIKE]
    S&S toilets and sinks
Hoover and mop the bathroom floor
    shine mirrors
[/STRIKE]all done by my lovely cleaners today, but I did shine the kitchen sink, tidy round and MT all bins

    Bedroom Declutter
Start with yesterday's undecided pile. Ten minutes with fresh eyes make a decision for each item whether you really need to keep it or if it is going in the get rid of pile.

Today's aim is to deal with all the stuff that is hidden away under the bed, on top of the wardrobe, in drawers. Concentrate on one area at a time.

    Empty everything out
Hoover or dust inside the drawer/under the bed

Now back to the same rules of yesterday only putting back things you love, use and need. The other things add to yesterday's boxes.

When sorting clothes be realistic especially with clothes which have not fitted for a while, will you ever really wear them again? Winter clothes which you have not worn yet this year, what is the reason? If they need cleaning/mending/debobbling leave them out and get this done so that you can enjoy them. Will do a bit of this tonight - I don't think I can get it all done

Mumto2 - DH had his pre-op assessment today, all went well, his stent goes in on Friday, its a nasty procedure, painful afterwards but hopefully this one will work [the other didn't] he is still waiting to hear about a date for Oxford Op x

Today I have - done paid ironing and took DH to hosp - waited at nearby shops for him so I didn't have to pay parking charges :]

My feet are aching from standing to do the ironing for nearly 2 hours :[

Hugs, sticks and spoons for anyone who wants them especially LW and Pigpen

I'm away to do something now just can't decide what!!

Yay.. can do the basics & have 2 loads of washing out on the line!! :T

We're taking the oppertunity of good weather to attempt a real clean up of the back garden.. it's like a pond out there as drainage is poor & the chickens beat it up a little...

Lots of bits burnt in the burning bin, items from shed given away/ rehomed. Things from garden listed on fleabay.. (makes my sons laugh when I call it that) now on to other items in the house :D

I've done my tax return, but forgot to apply for a NI exemption certificate so I now have NI to pay :o Oh well, at least I can budget for it ;)

Off to get dressed again now my jeans are clean/dry and run these errands I was supposed to do yesterday. Think I'll just go to M@talan & homebargains today as they're on the same retail park. Mr A can wait until Thursday as there's no real rush for that return and I'll need a top-up shop again for the weekend anyway.

Off I go, just hoping the rain stays off as I'm hoping to walk to save the £2+ bus fare!
