Good workshop yesterday (the end result of February's fund raising!) and ideas for more local work/promotion.

Karma - you never can tell with royalties - would hope so but there does come a time when royalties dry up - have done on one book - but still get a little from libraries. But hoping it will be a couple of hundred. Plus OH has £250 due for examining work. So edging up slowly. Realise I am away updating my professional skills for the last week in March so can only hope launch brings in stuff while away!

    Hi Mizmir,

Sounds like money is coming in for you, slowly but surly. You only need a few of these £250's to meet your target. I am only finding the odd £20's at the moment so very slow going.

Keep going, you sound like a hive of activity with all your business ideas. Fantastic :T

Well I have been AWOL and for that I apologise. Just so much to do. We limped through to the end of the month. Good points: stayed in the black, got £383 royalties, still have about £500 in reserves. Bad points: Didn't make my target income (made about 50% of it) so we have used some of our reserves, still working on the affiliate launch (nearly there).

So for April I am going to aim for £1500 to make up the shortfall last month. I have a number of plans:
    1. Finish and launch the affiliate product.
    2. Create a new product for my particular community - will be a short course - low price with a very specific market - hopefully good take up (they know me, there are people with good followings who will recommend it).
    3. Arrange some face-to-face courses and get some bookings in for those.
    4. Drum up some local one to one consultation clients.

Ambitious month but all doable and I have been away this week with people who are willing to help make it happen. So all promising. First step - am going to write a list of all the things I need to do to achieve these 4 goals and get going.

YNAB has fallen by the way side a little but I will start again for April and try to catch up.

Welcome back, miz! Sorry you missed your March target :( but thats a good royalties amount, well done you.

That list sounds good - I'm working on a list today myself - its only about today, but its about *all* the different economic spheres in which I need to take action - and thats part of my problem, probably, there are just too many spheres! I'll get there.

Keep on updating here, you know it helps :)

You are right of course Karma. This is my check in. Now caught up with email and courses after being away. On to my list for today:

    * Make my big list
    * Do first thing on my big list

    ;)

    Hi Miz,

Sounds like you are back with a vengeance. Ambitious target for April but sure you can do it. I aim to try to hit the 1k amount again this month. Looking like its going to be tougher than March, think that's because I am running out of anything to sell lol.

Good luck hun, update YNAB and lets get going xxx

Working hard to get my course up - should do it today which gives the first chance for some continuous "passive" income - but even if that doesn't happen going to have a big promotion with a key person so hoping to bring in a good few sales. Will only get £27 on each sale from this but hoping might sell 50 at least this way.

Then next up is face to face events. If I can get them organised I can start selling places.

27 x £50 is lots! Good luck miz, hope it goes really well.

Oh dear - not good at keeping up posting! The last couple of months have been tough - some difficult stuff going on at home and we are not through it yet - but there is light at the end of the tunnel.

I have let things slide a bit on budgeting but have kept up with main payments so debt is creeping down slowly - more slowly than I'd hoped but going down at least - and the business is doing OK - last 3 months have exceeded my goals, although things are slowing down a bit now because of other stuff taking up time.

BUT - things are looking more promising now for a resolution that will be positive all round. Won't say more right now as don't want to jinx anything but wanted to get back in here and take control again - and the longer I leave it the more difficult it becomes.

Hope things are well with everyone - off to check out diaries!
