Well I have bitten the bullet and I hope caught up with YNAB. Still about £900 short this month. We have the money in our Easter fund but really don't want to draw on that. The affiliate plan has the potential to bring in that money but may not do it by March. Will look at what I can sell and start to get back into MB I think.

All good otherwise. Just need to make sure I keep on top of things. Now to catch up with diaries.

    Hi Miz,

Lovely to see you back and great news on the JV. A very busy time for you with everything.

Hope the doggy news is all good and they're back home soon. Woofs and licks from my two :D It's hard when one is not around, even for a short while.

Hope dentist went ok today as well. What an expensive time you're having, but like you say, you've some back up funds if you need them as a last resort and MB should see a reasonably quick return.

Have you tried local pubs/clubs for old sets of pool balls? Just a thought as that's how a friend of my DB got theirs. Was some years back and I suspect these days they come within the table, but might be worth a try.

Thanks Ali! The boy is back and has been discharged - all clear! :j:j
So happy days here. I managed to avoid paying out all the expenses yesterday - vet is going to claim direct from the insurers and then will invoice us for the excess - hopefully might stray into April and give us more time to raise the money! Dentist was happy to be paid when work complete - so have two more weeks before then. So a brief reprieve - may have something in from the course before then.

But do have to pay professional subscription today - and have had to pay some fees for technology to support the business and the new course. Should all be made back but in the meantime cash flow!

But feeling more on top of things now. And will make sure I at least update here to keep me on the straight and narrow.

Fantastic news your boy is home and a clear result. Great the vet will put the claim through direct as well, ours have done that previously too.

Good news too on the dentist bill. A bit of breathing space to raise some more funds.

I feel for you on the business expenditure, have to do it though and then it impacts on available money. Got the same thing in April coming.

Pleased you're feeling back on top of things and the sunshine helps I find. Positive mood and mind will get us through :)

Thats all really good news! I'm glad to hear it :) and yes, the sunshine really helps - I actually sat outside this afternoon, with my cup of tea, and read a book :)

    Hi Mizmir,

Sorry not be over here much.

Good news that the Vet and the Dentist do not need their money NOW. Can you maybe spread the cost of the dentist over the next few weeks and the Vet can wait 30 days for their money surely, if they send you an invoice?.

I am trying to give myself kick up the bum with my crafting. I have the potential to make a decent part-time wage from this but I am wandering aimlessly through my days and not achieving anything. Its Friday today, and I can't tell you ANYTHING that I have achieved this week .

We both need to focus our minds into making these shortfalls that we have. What do you have that you can sell? I have run abit dry on this front. Not much left of any value.

Good luck, keep going. Glad you have caught up with YNAB.
Keep posting here, keep balancing those bank balances and see you soon x

You are right Steph. Need to focus. Had a better few days and made progress with my on demand course. With luck should be ready to launch next week. Also had a couple of 121 enquiries but nothing definite. But I have a cunning plan for the local end of things...

Nice surprise this morning - got a payment for £114 from ALCS - they handle royalties from libraries and copying. Have a couple of text books out there - a bit old now but clearly still being used by someone! And it reminded me - I should get royalties at the end of March. No idea how much - in past has ranged from a couple if hundred to a couple of thousand. More likely the low end as it is getting out of date but anything would be welcome. Wonder if I can find out what it will be? Might ring the publisher on Monday.

That's a great way to start the weekend with the extra coming in. :T

Sounds like you've been busy with the business too and fingers crossed the rewards of that start rolling in soon.

I've got to pull my finger out too and find ways of making extra. There's more free listing I think on eBay - time to scour for postable things :D

    Enjoy the weekend :)

How interesting about the textbooks! £114 from libraries sounds great - the soon-to-come royalties will be more than that, surely?

I'm glad you're focussing on the launch. Keep going!
