    Hi everyone,

I just wanted to say thank you for the inspiration!

I have been an avid reader of OS for a year or so now, and have tried to put into practice some of the things i have learned, especially in relation to cooking. I love cooking and baking and got lots of great ideas and recipes from this forum over the months.

Recently however, things have gone a bit awry. I found out I was pregnant on new years day (yay!):T We are very pleased that baby 'cub' is on his / her way, but I have been feeling very ill for the last few months. As a result of the sickness and tiredness, OS has gone out of the window and our food bills have gone up. I haven't been eating well (can't stomach most things, especially food with strong smells) and have really struggled. I have done very little cooking and OH has had to take the burden, as well as doing most of the housework and looking after the wee beasties.

However, I am nearly at week 12 of the pregnancy and beginning to feel a bit better. I have been reading the OS board again (couldn't even read about food before!:() and have been inspired to do some baking.:T

I have made a blueberry sponge (victoria sponge with blueberries in) and a batch of millies cookies with frozen raspberries in :) . They are in the oven as we speak and smell delicious.

I have also looked through the contents of the freezer, thought about meal planning (though not got so far as writing anything down yet!) and have got some HM soup out for OH's lunch tomorrow.

So, I just wanted to say thank you for inspiring me again after a miserable few months.

    (and apologies for the waffling!)

    Ali xx

You have my sympathies! DD has been sick a lot throughout her pregnancy. I found the only thing I could eat was Farleys Rusks!
Glad you feel better now. Let us know the outcome!

Thank you! It does seem to be easing off a bit now (at 11.5 weeks) so hopefully in a few more weeks it should disappear completely! :T

We're going to see my grandparents this weekend and will tell them about cub (I will be 12 weeks pregnant on saturday), but i'm a bit nervous as I need to eat little and often and sleep really late in the morning (luckily not working at the moment).

My granny and grandad are really chilled out :) and I know they won't mind my funny habits, but it does feel a bit rude going to stay with someone and then sleeping really late / eating toast at 10pm etc. :o

I should probably just stop worrying.....

In the meantime i have been doing the washing today and have cleaned the bathroom. woo hoo!

Thanks again for everyone's kind wishes.
