I just wanted to say thank you. Today I've made toad in the hole from scratch, two crumbles (apple and apricot crumble and peach crumble) and a batch of sponge cakes. None of which I would have even dared to attempt a year ago but thanks to the easy to follow recipes on here they were not only attempted but a success!
Thank you (my other half is pleased too to have nice tasting food!)

I don't do as much as most on OS but I am thankful for the suggestions as I now live a little simpler and a little less expensively which I am happy about.
One thing that hasn't been mentioned that I do is, I now only shampoo my hair once, makes no difference to my hair and shampoo lasts twice as long.
So I am just thankful to this site in general.

Hello - long time lurker, looking forward to moving out of my parents house and into my 1st home when the renovations are complete (August) and then starting my OS life with my boyfriend.
I have been house stitting this week and have cooked each night a meal from the OS cookbook...
Sausages & cider with cheesy mash
Chicken & broccoli bake
Shepherds pie
Rabbit Curry
They were all delicious! The boyfriend is now very excited about the prospect of me cooking everynight when we move in together - So thank you OS'ers for this and 1000 other things I have noted down to do when I start to play 'house' for real.0
