Can someone repost a link tot his test please, I can't find it. Thanks

The test is here, Elusive Lucy. In order to understand the results and what they mean I would urge anyone doing it to read the commentary around the test and your own results. I score 14 and that's a real danger signal. Basically, anything above eight should start ringing serious alarm bells.

I'm here, feeling slightly better and pleased I didn't have a heart attack. Apparently I've strained or torn some intercostal muscles, which gives very similar symptoms.

I am supremely smug today as I had to have a chip in my front tooth fixed today (thanks to Tiny and his metal toy lorry) and on the medical form I got to write ZERO in the alcohol consumption box. OK, so I know it's early doors, but I'm sure I've got things sorted for me. Mostly AF with the occasional glass if celebrating.

I'm so relieved it's 'only' a strained or torn muscle, Dizzy, but that on its own means you're trying to do waaaaaay much too much. (((Hugs))) and *coping vibes*, with the hope that we get a long, hot, dry summer so that your living conditions start to feel a bit more like a comfortable holiday.

As to the smug thing - oh, isn't it satisfying! And unlike smoking when you fill in forms they don't then say, 'And have you ever hammered it?' after the 'How many units do you drink a week' question.

I thought of you, as always, as I strapped Kelpie into his Thundershirt last night when we had to go out for a couple of hours and leave him on his own. He absolutely loves it, comes racing towards me as soon as I show it to him and then collapses in a floppy heap while I'm putting it on him. Its the devil's own job to get him to stand up to finished strapping it up, but I am forever grateful to you for your kindness. And so is he.

Arkers, 41lbs is quite remarkable and I hope the final seven pounds melt away without any trouble. What have you found is the single most effective thing that you've changed to make that kind of loss possible?

    6/30 please, Shaggy.
    Better is good enough.

Thanks HB I guess the obvious answer would be the booze, because for me I very rarely drank without snacking surely that's what two hands are for:rotfl:. With the wine would come the devil's food of crisps, cheese, crackers....you get the general idea. At the moment my mind is focused on the weight loss, however, the true test will come when I am at target. This is where I tip my hat to people like maman who have lost and maintained, that's an example to follow. :T With this and other support threads I'm determined to try.
I am so useless I don't even know how to quote text properly!!

    4/20 please Shaggy - Arkers x

Thank for the link Honey Bear. I got 10, but I wasn't sure how to answer some of the questions - e.g. whether my answer should relate to things that have happened in the present or the past. I maybe would have been a bit lower if I had answered with a different view.

Tonight is going to be an AFD for me, so 3/20 for me so far for April please (3 AFD, 3 AD) Shaggy
What goes around comes around.....I hope!

Tiny had his first day at nursery today (well, morning) and I got three whole hours to myself, with no children! Guess what? I did the ironing :rotfl:

Actually, today I feel less stressed and tired. Chest still hurts, but not so badly and boys are back into routine. Ah, that's better...

6/30 for me please Shaggy x

I did the test on the link too Honey Bear. I "only" got 6, but it still said I was at risk of having a problem :( I am glad to have nipped my drinking in the bud now before it became worse. I do have a wedding and weekend catch-up with friends and family this month, but I am determined to be controlled and just have one or two drinks over the whole celebration period. My biggest drinking pal will be there though, so she will need reining in lol
