I've found that cutting back has lowered my tolerance so I drink far less on panned days. Sorry to hear that wbf. Hope you find your focus and bring it back here. Be back soon!:)0 -

Me too. Had my first drink last night after Dry January but didn't have that much at all. Like you said, my tolerance is lower now I'm not drinking regularly.
I'm out tonight and driving so won't drink so I'll be on 6/24 after tonight please.0 -
Not sure what happened with Maman's quote on my previous quote0

Alcohol-free beer works for me, but I know it doesn't for some others. My tipple of choice is B3ck$ B1u3 but any of them would be just fine. I can't stand all the sugar in soft drinks and much as I'd like to say plain water, it just doesn't have the sour kick that I need.Wanna_Bee_Free wrote: »Just to let you all know I don't think I'll be around much. I, for one, will miss you WBF. I hope that whatever it is that needs your focus is resolved quickly and smoothly, and look forward to seeing you back here when you're ready. Lucky, lucky you! I wish I could have done what you've achieved but I was utterly hopeless at it. (Some wretch nicked my Stop and Pause button and kept hiding the replacements!) Having said that, now that I've got used to the new regime I'm perfectly happy with it, but if you'd asked me six months ago if this was possible, I'd have said no. (Day 197, apparently. Go me!)Better is good enough.0 -
1 more for me as of this evening. A disappointing start to February and not what I had hoped for.
Still, on a positive note, it is Saturday night, I am AF and therefore I will enjoy my Sunday much more than if I was on the vino!0 -
6/21 AFDs for me tonight, mainly because the urge for wine isn't winning over CBA going out to buy some! What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0

Wow HB - Day 197 - what an achievement! You continue to be an inspiration to me as I am starting to wonder whether I should also stop drinking altogether. I am drinking less and less these days because I find I just can't tolerate alcohol like I used to. Even two 175ml glasses of wine seem to make me feel so awful the next day, I'm just wondering if it's worth it. I don't know if it's my age (45) or the after effects of my op, but my body seems to be telling me not to drink.
I'm on 5/19 now please Shaggy. We went to the pub for tea early evening on Friday and I had those two wines with my meal. I had to be up really early yesterday to go to a funeral and at the wake after, most people were drinking and my sister in law bought a bottle of wine but I felt so awful that I didn't drink at all. In the past, there's no way that I would have turned down wine and I would have ignored how rubbish I felt and ploughed on regardless. I didn't drink at all last night either, despite it being Saturday night. I feel a million times better today already for having no alcohol yesterday and a good night's sleep.
It's certainly food for thought! I just don't know if I'm quite ready to stop completely.0 -
