    23 days up for grabs!

    Everyone Welcome!!!
What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Out tonight and tomorrow so I think my next AFD will be on Monday - I'm determined to meet my target though!
Honey bear you're doing brilliantly:) - one thing I've noticed this month is that making the decision to stay AF all month seemed to be easier than picking and choosing which nights to allow myself a drink!
On the plus side, though I am sticking to one or two and finding that's enough, when I do drink.
    Have a good weekend everyone:)

I think this may be a good strategy for me. I pretty much now drink every other day and the days I don't drink, it is almost a relief but, just as drinking every day used to be a habit, now, drinking every other day is a habit!
  • 5/22 for last night please Shaggy. Having wine tonight and probably tomorrow night as well. Hope to be back Sunday. Thanks.

Thank you Ellsbel. Before I stopped drinking I tried to cut down and moderate which I just never got right no matter how many times I swore blind I was going to do it. Breaking the habit of drinking every night was a toughie for the first couple of months but once I'd found an alternative to alcohol it was very straightforward. OH, who drinks a lot less now that I don't, finds it difficult to be AF two nights a week and I'd struggle with that if I allowed myself to go back to it. For me, this is easier.
    Better is good enough.

5/21 AFDs tonight. Was going to go to a quiz night, but a sleepless night caught up with me. An early night beckons.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

I was hopeless at moderation. All or nothing for me, so it has to be nothing.

What is the alternative you find works for you?
  • Just to let you all know I don't think I'll be around much. My focus is not here at the moment but I'll be back at some point. Shaggy, thanks for scoring and everyone else thanks for being so fab and supportive.
