ShaggyxWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -

Thanks WBF! I know what you mean, sometimes I am so busy I just fly in and post my AFDs but I think it's important to chart our highs and lows so we can celebrate the highs and learn from the lows.
4/16 please Shaggy. No way was I going to touch a drop yesterday, felt so rough! Still don't feel right today. Have had a very stressful week at work so that may be something to do with it and I also think I may have an underlying cold. So unlikely I will drink tonight unless I feel better.
Happy that it is now Friday and looking forward to a restful (and more controlled when it comes to drinking) weekend ahead!0 -

I don't have a problem one way or the other. I can see that just the discipline of posting AF days is a help to everyone. Others find that asking for/giving little tips on how to manage are useful or simply knowing that others are going through the same highs and lows helps. Whatever takes your fancy!0 -
7/31, please Shaggy.
I weighed myself today, several times, and seem to have turned the juggernaut around, at long last after years of wanting to lose weight, and it has everything to do with knocking the drinking on the head. Thank you everyone who contributes to the thread, particularly you, Shaggy. How you find the time is a mystery to me, and much appreciated.
I finally realised that there is little point in trying to lose weight if I didn't know how to stabilize it first. That helped identify that it was the booze and the 4lbs I wanted to lose in June (and July when the June target failed), disappeared within six days. (Either that or the scales are kaput, but I weighed myself five times, and it was the same every time.)Better is good enough.0
