    Hello All,

Calling in with 2 AF including tonight.

    Stupotstu X

    Good to se you back.:)

I've been out for lunch with planned drinking two days in a row (bad planning:o) but pleased to say I didn't just go and drink for the rest of the day which I used to give myself licence for before. Definitely going to be AF tomorrow and then next week I'll try and catch up with the rest of you!

    Hi

I will join if that's ok- think a public decleration of intent can do no harm and may just encourage me to committ to a healthier routine a bit more.

I doubt I have had a night wothout alcohol, before last night, in the past 6-8 weeks. Every Sunday night I pledge to have a better routine and every Monday lunchtime I start idenifying the excuses!

Aiming for 12 alcohol free days for August and we will see how we go from there. Last night and tonight makes it:

    2/12.

Welcome to this thread - it really does help! :)

3/16 for me now please Shaggy. I'm not happy with myself though, I think I am really slipping lately. I have a hangover today and I'm really annoyed with myself. I only had two large glasses of wine last night but it was in quite a short space of time and seems to have really affected me for some reason!

On Saturday night, I really did drink too much - 6 glasses of wine and 2 vodkas and I only stopped because my cousin (who I was out with) was ready to go home. Good job really! My stop button seems to have stopped working lately!

I've just realised how detrimental alcohol is to me. On Sunday/Monday I felt awful - tired, no energy, negative. By Tuesday I felt fine again - back out running, eating well, feeling positive. Now I feel back to square one again :(

Sorry for moaning, and don't feel you have to read this. I just feel like I need to write it down to give myself a bit of the kick I need to moderate my drinking more again.

Have a good day all! :)

    6/31 please for me, Shaggy.

We had Italian food last night, and that is always going to be the hardest for me to eat without red wine, my first tipple of choice (although I'm a sucker for a G&T). But with a huge tomato juice and a liberal sprinkling of Worcester sauce it was surprisingly okay.
    Better is good enough.

    Good luck Maman!

Welcome to the thread Dprovan, and well done for getting your first 4 days in back to back.

Chardonnay, thanks for your post, sometimes it seems like the thread is more factual and less personal than it was and I for one find posts like yours helpful, especially the reminder about how drinking affects us afterwards with a lack of energy and negativity etc. Even if I were on a roll I always find a reminder like that useful.

Debjay, you've come a long way from the dryathlon to now - well done! :T

I'm still very much happily off the wagon on holiday but will climb back on next week. Since my hangover I've at least kept to the right side of the line in terms of hangovers.
