Thank you Fruball for the apple juice and soda suggestion. Sadly my tipple is red and the idea of warm Ribena makes me feel rather green around the gills.

Morning
Very Very rainy here!
2 more AFDs for Friday and Saturday.
Still trying to lose the 2 Llbs I put on in July. Not doing so well, despite not drinking yesterday - OH and I went to Nandos after watching Dawn of the Planet of the Apes in the cinema - nuff said - just a portion of their delicious chips is 500 calories
Ah well, today is another day...Charity Shield laters.

ShaggyxWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -

I really don't want to drink alcohol again, but occasionally I'd like the taste of the sourness of a glass of wine, and it's pizza night tonight. Is this a slippery slope or am I being realistic? And are there any quaffable AF red wines out there, or are they all absolutely vile? (I smoked for 30 years, so the tastebuds are shot, and was more of a slosher than a sipper anyway.)
Back on page 118 of this thread - there is a discussion about Sorelle alcohol free wine (and others) I think.
If you search the forums (top right) with "Sorelle" I think you will find discussions on AF drinks in this thread and others.
I haven't tried any of them, so I can't commentWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -

Its been a little while since I actively made an effort to have AF days and so after a visit to the pub last night when I didn't think I drank that much but have felt rotten all day, I've decided to make a concerted effort. I'm late joining in on this month's challenge and would like to set a minimum of 10 AF days.
Last night's menu included 2 G&Ts, 1 Malibu and d. coke and 1 lge red wine. I didn't sleep very well last night and woke with a sore head this morning although I think dehydration played a part in this as I was out shopping yesterday and it was mid afternoon before I twigged I had only had my two breakfast cups of tea.
In recent weeks I've been visiting the pub mid week and found myself having more to drink than I would like on a school night. I need to stop this too as its not good for my pocket nor for getting up for work the next day. I need to peruse the pub menu and find some good AF alternatives. Its too tempting to start out with the best of intentions and then end up falling by the wayside once I'm a glass of wine in... last night's drinking has played havoc with my sw menu today (I've not stopped eating rubbish) and I've felt so rotten all day and cross with myself. Grrrr0 -
6/20 AFDs tonight. Went OTT last night with the wine, due to a stressful family conference call. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0
