6/21 AFDs for me, as I've got a horrid sore throat so have indulged in a duvet-day.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

No more AFDs to report for me so still on 7/19 AFDs.

Yesterday was a planned drinking day. We went out for a family meal and then on to a bar, where we sat in the (intermittent!) sunshine. Over 5 hours I had two 175ml glasses of white wine, two single G&Ts and half a shandy. So not bad, but not great either and looking on the Drinkaware site it would be classed as binge drinking.

Thing is, I didn't really enjoy the wine at all. It didn't taste great to me. I'm not sure if that's down to the brainwashing from Allen Carr's book I'm reading or if it just wasn't that great a wine!

I can definitely sense an improvement in my drinking. I no longer see social occasions as an opportunity to pour as much wine down my neck as possible. I did declare I wasn't drinking any more after the second G&T but then decided on a shandy as thought that wouldn't do too much damage! Should have just had a soft drink really though. I didn't drink when we got home either, which I would have done in the past, but drank 3 pints of water during the evening to try and wash the "poison" out of my system.

Next planned drinking day is Thursday, as I've won tickets for a VIP day at the tennis and it involves a champagne reception so it would be rude not to :p Will see how I get on!

Have a good Monday all...knackered here but always am on a Monday anyway. Finish work for our holiday on Wednesday so now on holiday countdown! :D

    Good morning everyone...

Reading your posts from the last week it looks like the Sorelle hits the spot with a few of us :)

I was away for a break Tuesday - Thursday, continued drinking and socialising till Saturday night (interspersing the white wine with Becks blue or Erdinger) so no AFDs, but last night had me back on the Sorelle (this defo works for me).

Hi Shaggy please mark me down for 2/23

I hope everyone has a great day and evening :)

    :D

    I've been there too!;)

I'm calling in for tonight but also to declare that June is going to be a dismal failure even by my standards.

When I started cutting down my aim was to do what 'normal' people do and drink moderately on social occasions without having too much and then just making it a habit on all the 'normal' days in between. So this month I had bargained on a holiday for two weeks but not the football and various meals out as well. I could not drink but I don't want to. So I'll have AF days when it suits and then try to make up for it next month. I feel a bit guilty but that's the reality.:o

    4 AFDs please Shaggy.

    Hi All :hello:

Epic fail for me over the weekend, I drank Friday, Saturday & Sunday so bloody annoyed with myself!!! I just cant seem to get motivated just now, need a good kick up the proverbial. I will also prob have gained on the scales tonight which will make me even more  but I only have myself to blame. I am really really going to try hard to not even think about it tonight. Only 19 days until I am away all inclusive for 2 weeks . Well done to everyone who is managing better than I am x
