Failed last night, 1/2 a bottle of wine and 3 small stumpy beers, I stopped myself before i had another, and drank a load of water , have a nasty headache this morning. I should have stopped after the 1/2 bottle ..like any sane person would have, but i had to continue , didn't I ?! Guess it could have been worse, ho hum, a new day , a new start, draw a line and make today count. Have a good weekend all xxCompers challenge 27/70

6/21 please.
Went to family quiz thing last night , at cub scouts, Take your own refreshments, everyone had a whole bottle of wine each. I drank lemonade with my son. Amazing what you see in other people when they are drunk, and that's me? Yikes! Lovely clear headed and positive. Have a great sunday and hugs to all xxCompers challenge 27/70

11/20 AFDs so far, although not last night which was unrestrained (ouch). The danger of living 100 yards from a supermarket once the first bottle of wine slipped down easily between DH and me...What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0

I come seeking penance and support.
I had a "treat day" on Friday as I had a half day. I bought a bottle of wine, bar of chocolate and a bottle of soda water...and it ALL went the same night.
Yesterday instead of buying wine for my night in with my pal (a planned night of imbibing) - I bought a little 12 pack of mini beers. Of course 6 of those went before I reached my friend's house, I drank 2 at my friend's, she had 2 and I have 2 left staring at me.
I woke up this morning, and just felt like I had slipped back into an old habit. It's easy when the alcohol is in the house to just have a glass, or two, or half a bottle, or the whole thing...before you even know it.
Yet I can go weeks without alcohol, then I get a craving and give in. It doesn't help I live next door to an off license and when I am emotional I go and get a bottle of wine to cheer me up - not that often I hasten to add, but enough to be noticeable to me.
I need to grow a backbone and keep chanting NO to myself.2024 Challenges- Grocery Budget (January £0/£300)

I'm ashamed to say that tonight I've had a s*d it occasion and succumbed to DH's offer of wine (not that I needed much persuading) and my only excuse was a difficult work conversation I'd had earlier.
I'll adjust my totals accordingly.:o
Must do better.
I've not been AF the last 2 days but determined to today. Declaring 13/25 early to avoid temptation later.
Not sure if I'll meet my target this month now. I'll go away and do some counting.0 -
Great Manchester 10km completed, 12minutes quicker than the 10km I did last week. Will be AF tonight, so 17/25 AFDs today0
