Morning :hello:
1 more AFD for yesterday.
ShaggyxWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -
Was thinking last night,,,
What ever happened to 'in search of me' ?
I will have been posting on this thread for 8 years in October - some posters were here before me - Mamam, Pricey, WBF and others - but "In Search of Me" hasn't posted anytime in that 8 years of mine.....I hope she is living a happy and healthy life some where though!
Just checked back - this thread is 9 years old on 24th February !!!!! WOW!What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Oddly enough that resonated with how it was when I first joined the thread. I wasn't in from the start but may have joined late 2008 or maybe early 2009. Although it's always been named as giving-up/cutting down there were problem drinkers on there back then who couldn't accept that not everyone was the same. I admire anyone who wants to give up completely and has the willpower to do so but that doesn't mean I want to do the same. I still have a poster on my ignore list (hardly a list, just one person) from back in the day as I got so fed up with the implication that I was an alcoholic that wouldn't admit it.:mad:0 -
I'm calling in early for tonight, so am now up to 18/30. Have already got my AF wine ready for tomorrow night if the cravings get bad. It is very much habit on a Friday night - like a reward at the end of a week. Maybe I should find something to take its place, only not sure what!
Bit disappointed this week as I only recorded a half pound loss at Slimming World, and I thought by cutting out alcohol it might have been better. Annoyed with myself for bingeing over holiday and Christmas as I still have a lot of weight to lose to get back to my November pre-holiday weight (5.5lbs). I am determined though and have next holiday booked for May so that will drive me on. I couldn't think about going on a beach in a bikini at the moment! Aiming for a stone loss before hols which will be a challenge. Might need to keep the AF going a bit longer if the weight does start to drop offWhat goes around comes around.....I hope!0 -
I may even increase my target for the month,,,,,,,,,
Then again being at the early stages of cutting down I have to admit I'm looking forward to having a wine or 4 on Friday ,,,,,
Could be worse I'd be 3 bottles in by now on a 'normal' week !! And considering I've been filling in divorce papers I can't believe I've not given in !
I am looking forward to a glass of wine tomorrow night too, I've been quite strict this week and not had anything since saturday night. But I have been thinking about enjoying 2 glasses on Friday night. I bought a bottle on Tuesday and plan to drink it over Friday and Saturday. Although according to an article I read during the week, that is still technically binge drinking as half a bottle is 4.5 units.
I am also going through the divorce process, i've had my nisi through and just a week or so to go until the absolute. I'll be glad in one way when its all over as the solicitors are costing me a fortune, but its sad too.
I've felt very flat and down this week, I know why, but I can't seem to shake it off. I'm am trying to see the good in things and remain positive, but its difficult when the things I am trying to achieve are out of reach. I don't want to say more than that.
Anyway, enough of my moaning mininess. At least i'm sorting out the AFness at the moment.Live for the moment and plan for the future0 -
