Have been suffering all week with a headache and last night it turned into a migraine. As well as cutting out alcohol I've also rejoined SW and sticking to it rigidly, does anybody think that could be the cause of my headaches? Is my body getting rid of all of the toxins and if so how can I speed it up, can't cope with these head banging headaches much longer!?

  • Well guys ,, after looking forward so much to Friday night bottle of wine,, I was in a rush so didn't get a bottle on way home from work, then as I went to a show I only had ONE tiny glass , the smallest plastic wine glass of white wine,, normally I would stop on the way home and have a bottle whilst watching late night junk,, just cos I can have a lay in ,, but no , I came home and had a cup of tea,,,,,,,,,!
Ok so not AF but a real cutting down by my greedy standards!!!!

Well done LoveaSale, that is great news.

A family member of mine is giving up alcohol as of yesterday. They aren't going to find it easy but they know it needs to happen. One part of me wants to say I'll go alcohol free for the rest of January and February to help them start off, so they don't feel alone. Another part of me is unsure if I want to. It would do me good though and I realise that says a lot about me if I can't go 5-6 weeks without a drink.

    I'm thinking about it.

Well done!:T That's a technique I use, get home and put the kettle on so I'm not tempted to start drinking. If you can avoid buying it (like you did) then even better. Personally I'm not a fan of the individual bottles of wine they sell in my local theatre so I'll have a coffee instead and make it an AF night.

cuppa, I'm sure you could go AF if you wanted to but you could support your relative by not drinking around them. Let us know what you decide.:)

    15/22 for me please.

I'm still thinking about it Maman. I won't see them for most of February anyway, so that isn't going to be a factor. Otherwise it would have been a good idea.

It tends to be electrolyte imbalance. Drinking coconut water helps :)
