    12/22 please

Starting to find it hard to remember.

Hello All. Please Can i ask if i may- how people find socialising without a drink. To me its quite alien and sounds a lot like hard work. If i am truly honest i kind of think i don't have the best social skills And drinking helps. I imagine AF socialising to be quite draining. I mean in a group situation or work/group situation. Is there a strategy that people adopt to tackle this. I would be interested to know. Thank you.

It can be difficult to begin with. Some people have cut back on socialising until they feel more confident going AF. It depends whether you plan to give up or cut down. I'm happy with cutting down so I just choose to drink when I'm socialising and stay AF on 'normal' evenings at home. The bonus is that the more AF evenings I have the more moderate my drinking is. I think tolerance drops.

I worried about that but actually when I went I found I could actually be as loud without a drink as with. Give it a try :)
