Really chuffed with myself i had a stop button which was genuinely activated by me rather than circumstances.

This is what I've been aiming for. Hope i can keep it up. I have a little over half a bottle waiting for another day.

Woo hoo! Well done on finding your Stop Button, Cuppa Tea.

I don't regard the number of AF days as a competative thing, but if that's what works for you KingS6, good for you. Go for it!

    28/31 please, Shaggy.
    Better is good enough.

:T on finding that stop button cuppa. I often press mine mid evening and switch (pun definitely intended:D) to a cuppa. I think it's partly to do with tolerance dropping as I cut down.

I can see an underlying competitive nature with regards to how many alcohol free days people can rack up. It can only be a good thing!

If it helps you then that's fine but it'll (obviously) only work with the cutters-down. IMO we encourage each other but don't compete.

So, I had a couple of drinks last night. (Actually 3) with my daughter, sons, husband and one of my son's girlfriend last night.

Had to laugh at that. How many girlfriends does he have??:rotfl:

I've been very indulgent the past few days. Planned drinking over the weekend but I had a couple of glasses on Wednesday and Thursday as well. I think it was probably a mixture of the sunshine and the 'because I can' as I'd already exceeded target.

This must be the earliest I've ever called it but I'm definitely not going to drink tomorrow. I want that 14 day smiley.

    14 AFDs please Shaggy.

Looking forward to September. Thanks for the scoring Shaggy. You're a star and help us so much.

I don't understand. It can work with anyone who has come off booze not just cutters down. For example I've not cut down I'm completely abstaining from it.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

I wonder if MP is on holiday, which is why he's been so quiet?

I think he was moving so probably just too busy to post.....

PS This low GI thing really works!

It really does. No energy slumps in my day now :) It was originally designed for diabetics - and has even been shown to "cure" some type 2 diabetics. Love it!
