Back from my hols yesterday and on 7/10 for tonight. Not going to make my target this month but did manage some ALDs away. Think I'll draw a line under this month and start again in July with the alcohol and back on Slimming World - gained 7lbs
Edited to add that my weight gain was only 4lbs on weigh in day which was 3 days after getting back. I'll live with that.0 -
Good morning everyone,
22 AFD please Shaggy.
Have a good day everyone. My DH's drinking has really got on my nerves this week. This hasn't happened for a while. Been here before, so will get over it!
Have a good day everyone.

Going by what I've read, I'm assuming we give a target of how many days we would like to be alcohol free for the month? If so, I'd like a target of 25 for July please
Welcome and exactly right, Evo. Some people start off target free and then decide after a while what they want to aim for, but if I hadn't decided exactly what I wanted to achieve, I don't think I'd have succeeded.
The dog missed everyone at home so we've come back here and settled ourselves in the sitting room. Interesting living arrangements, to say the least but he seems calmer and slept much better so it's worth it.
31 for July please, Shaggy and 29/30 for June so far.Better is good enough.0 -

Thanks HB, and welcome home .

Is it possible that the weather is getting better...I hope so!

Thanks for the welcome backs. The weather's looking dire here, Arkers. I think I've rather given up on the summer already, although I can't believe I'm saying that.
30/30 please, Shaggy.Better is good enough.0 -
Out of curiosity as you have been doing well this month MP - congrats by the way, its very impressive, are you still getting regular cravings? I was surprised to read that as I "assumed" after so many weeks now it was habit to not drink. Sorry that isn't coming out right, but I know what I mean.
I'm drinking. I started on Saturday when a friend came to visit and I made cocktails and haven't stopped drinking since. Sunday I nearly managed to avoid drinking but I started drinking at 23.45hours by having several stiff gins with other half when he got in and we were discussing new business venture. We were excited and talking passionately about it and stiff gins seemed to be the order of the day. Stupid thing is I had already posted on this forum and had drank herbal tea so actually my total is 22/28 not the confident 23 I entered. Last night I was up until God knows when watching TV, listening to music and roaming around house with a glass of wine in my hand. It looks like I've drank an entire box of Sauvignon blanc.
What doesn't help is the Mac is poorly and back with Apple whereas I would have this forum open constantly and check in constantly. Now on the iPad and already fighting the urge to hurl it against the wall whenever I try and do something and it autocorrects or I can't log in.
Already plotting in my head about drinking tonight as going out to a restaurant. Obviously, sensible thing would be for me to drive.
At times I can have a sensible conversation in my head and accept the fact that this lifetime has had the reoccurring theme of "addiction" & as such I can't have booze either. Then I get annoyed and resentful that other people can have a drink and I'm forever going to be the tee total and bored. I really just need to focus on tonight.
Welcome Evo btw.
