Very relieved to find Shaggy has not done a list for today because I have had the most sh***y day, pardon my French, and am afraid I am bailing on my resolve to make it an AFD - will catch up this coming week hopefully. I'm completely knackered, hardly slept, stressed, had an argument with someone on the train, had enough. I don't make a habit of this so hope it seems okay! Bleaughhhhhhh.0

ManPants, to be blunt, what a $h!t the father of the bride is, saying that he hopes you'll have a few drinks on the day. What does he think you are, a performing monkey?
My last drinking day was a Friday and we had been invited to a wedding on the Saturday. OH knew it was my intention not to drink but I didn't tell anyone there, accepted a glass of champers, pretended to sip from it for the toast and passed it to OH as soon as he'd finished his (first) glass. Tbh I was so hungover I wouldn't have wanted to drink booze anyway, but the old me would have done so anyway, out of politeness or stupidity or greed or whatever. I've never, ever regretted not drinking that night and, let's be honest, the bride and groom were so engrossed in their day, they didn't know and wouldn't actually care. I'm so glad you've got the pill left (get some more!) and are sensible enough to take them when you know you're going to be tempted.
Hang on in there, MPs. You'll get there, but keep posting when it's tough because we're all rooting for you.
And the same goes for you, Elusive Lucy! We can't cheer you on if you disappear.Better is good enough.0 -
Shaggy, I hope that wasn't you on the train. was it? ... I noticed you're in London too. Did you have an argument on the train on the way home? ... If so it was probably with me!!0

Hey Shaggy can you put me down for 12 AF please for July. It’s not what you have in your life but who you have in your life that counts0

2 beers so far this week (measuring Sunday to today), and those are only because my neighbour insists on bringing me them. My drinking's been out of control for a while and I think if I can't keep this up then I'll finally try AA or something.0

Me tooLife, the universe and everything. Too many dramas to list and a glass of wine most evenings, so I have written off June.
Shaggy, can I set a target of 20/31 for July please and tonight is day 1....1/31?0 -
Morning :hello:
3 more AFDs for Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday.
ShaggyxWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -
I'd like to join please
Going by what I've read, I'm assuming we give a target of how many days we would like to be alcohol free for the month? If so, I'd like a target of 25 for July please
Pushing out the MSEfor you. Good Luck!

My DH's drinking has really got on my nerves this week. This hasn't happened for a while. Been here before, so will get over it!
