Shaggy, I hope that wasn't you on the train. was it? ... I noticed you're in London too. Did you have an argument on the train on the way home? ... If so it was probably with me!!
You're safe. It wasn't me :rotfl:
Hope you're feeling calmer today and had a good nights sleepWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -

How kind of your neighbour to want to bring you a gift, but awkward if you're expected to booze with them when you know you'd rather stay off the stuff.
There is a huge amount of pressure on us to drink, and one of the skills we have to develop if we're going to be successful in knocking it on the head is to be able to say, 'No, thank you' and mean it. Your neighbour will continue with their generosity until you find a way of making them understand that alcohol is inappropriate.
Saying no politely would be the very least you need to do and you cannot drink with them obviously, but if they continue, then you have to esculate until they are willing to see your meaning.
As an absolute last resort you have to open the beer and pour it down the sink in front of them because they'd definitely understand that, but no-one would want to let it go that far.Me tooLife, the universe and everything. Too many dramas to list and a glass of wine most evenings, so I have written off June.
(((Hugs))), Dizzy. I hope things start calming down for you really quickly. A glass most evenings isn't a bottle most evenings, is it? You're forgetting how much you've moved things on this year, so don't beat yourself up.I have had the most sh***y day ... had an argument with someone on the train ....
Oh, so, it's not just me that does things like that. Good-oh.
2/30 please, Shaggy.Better is good enough.0 -

Hi
I'd like to join you if I may please?
I've been avoiding reading this thread for ages because deep down I knew I should and that I do have a bit of an issue with drinking.
I don't get outrageously drunk every night, I don't drink to oblivion and it's very rare that I can't remember stuff from drinking.
However I do drink usually up to four cans of bud wei ser a night at home alone.
Since Christmas I've tried to tell myself I'll only drink when I don't have work the next morning, but then there will be a can or two left in the fridge and I've had a rough day or it's hot or...well the day has a y in it and I break my pledge.
To start with I would like to go with 15 for this month please.
I'm working 5/7 for most of the summer, and sometimes more than5/7 so I've counted up the work with work the next day days for the rest of July. There are actually 17 but I figure 15 gives me one or two slip up days.
I'm hoping with a bit of motivation and accountability I will get more than 15 and get into a bit of a pattern.
Thanks
