ManPants, the referendum was not legally binding so in fact it doesn't have to be acted upon (unlike the Scottish referendum). Only 37 per cent of the total electorate voted (that figure includes those that didn't vote), arguably not really high enough to support making such a far-reaching, fundamental and potentially risky move (the rule of thumb with referendums is I think it should be higher, 50 or 60 per cent in favour?) There are certainly points in favour of MPs debating the issue and then the public being presented with more concrete proposals for how it would work before proceeding. That's what I've read today, anyway. :) Also, the fact that the Leave campaign has already reneged on several of their key proposals should perhaps also suggest we need a rethink. People voted Leave because allegedly it would lead to more controls on immigration - Leave have now more or less admitted that isn't possible.

PS not going to go on and on about this as it was humungous news and I'm sure everyone has probably read loads about it already! Also this thread is not a forum for it really.

    Good evening everyone,

20 AFD please Shaggy. Away for the weekend but only drank for one of those days. I feel a bit bemused by what I'm hearing who are these bigots in our community?

Have a good evening and fingers crossed for the footie!

It is still nearly 2 weeks worth of not drinking! :-)

    Well done I say StopLurking.

    23/28 AF.

Hope you are all well. Making herbal tea here to stave off the urge to drink something alcoholic.

Thanks MP, I think I'm annoyed because I've had wine on a few days when I wouldn't normally but anyway it's all good. Thinking about a target for July, there's a few things on.

I hope you managed to stick to the herbal tea, if you made it to 11pm without then I'm sure you did manage to resist. You have done so well over the last few months with loads of temptations in front of you, so whatever happened last night, you're still winning.

I hope everyone else is doing well as we approach the end of the month.
