MP - you're so funny! I only wish I knew if I had any abs :rotfl:
Thank you Dizzy! Glad my attempts at humour don't go unnoticed :j
Another AF night clocked up taking me to 10/28 AF.
God I love the car as it gives me an excuse not to drink. Last night when we met up with our friends and I ordered soda I was able to joke it away when the questions started by saying i was "Driving Miss Daisy" and indicated towards OH who was already slurping into a pint of lager by that point.
Just today to get through now and no car excuse.
Have a great sunday everyone!

MP.....how about saying you just don't fancy it today or you've a busy day tomorrow and want a clear head. Or you've not drunk much lately so you cant keep up, best not to start.

Morning everybody, sorry that I've been awol, was away on holiday and then once back at work it's been full on!!! Didn't manage any AF days while away but didn't overdo it either, kept saying to myself I want to enjoy tomorrow and not lose it with a hangover. Did manage 20/20 for May and would like to set a target of 15 for June please Shaggy. Already managed 5/15 and back on track with dieting after putting on 3.5lbs whilst away, weighed myself this morning and lost 3.5 - Happy Days!!DF by Christmas 2014 #78 £18,964.15/£15,000

Good luck
Good suggestions CuppaTea. I've found that the longer I leave it between drinks, the easier it becomes to say "no thanks". I've been honest with all my friends and admitted my drinking was excessive and they've all been supportive, but just saying you don't want a hangover will allow you to stay on the soda.
I want to claim another AFD for yesterday, but can't as DH made me try his blend of fruit ciders after the chap at the bar in the pub where we had lunch yesterday confuddled me and I ordered two flavours by mistake, thinking it was a new one. Anyway, it was just a sip and yes, pear and raspberry cider is rather nice!0 -

Hi.
Please can I join in? I am not sure quite what I want to commit to yet. I feel like I need to cut it out altogether at some point as one or two tends to lead to ... lots more. But I have got friends visiting and then am going to Glastonbury festival next week ... I don't know if staying a/f is possible.
I posted around December on DFW when I realised that my spending was out of control. I'm reducing debt slowly and generally stopped credit card spending but alcohol and food are the weaknesses. Looking forward to joining you if you'll have me!! Any suggestions for a starting point welcome ..0
