I've seen some of the 'specimens' that they employ at McDonalds, anyone can get a job there. Ignore being dangerous in the kitchen you'll probably be started on the tills.

I hope it does get my lots of interviews and I am thankful you spent lots of time on it. If I am more successful now because of your input then you most certainly won't have wasted your time.

I'm sorry, but you still moaning that you aren't CEO of Microsoft is a kick in the teeth to me.

Why not look positively that all (my) that hard work might well be the start of something great? Apply for more jobs - suitable ones - and see where you get. Send your CV to more agencies. Ask for proper feedback from the one that found you that one day's work and ACT ON IT.

You have GOT to start being a grown up now. Throw your toys out of the pram once more and I shan't help you ever again.

Do you have to work in the kitchen? Can you just serve food and clear tables? I know you'll have an excuse for this too.

I understand that most vacancies in fast food are in the kitchen from what people I know have done. It might be the case that there are some jobs on the tills, but they seem the least common vacancies as I understand it.

  • Look MacD wont employ me as I am not physically up to the job!!

Actually, chump, there are four main working areas at the lowest level in McD's (did I mention I used to work there? oh and I should gloat about my PhD course too, while I'm here):
    • Kitchen
This usually involves what you think it does, but the process is very controlled and automated. The only danger I encountered is brushing your hand against the hamburger grill - it is very different to cooking at home. Remember most McD's food is lukewarm at best.
    • Drive-thru
Taking orders, and putting them together in one of those paper bags with "I'm lovin' it" written on it. Take the money. Just like working in a shop. No cooking involved.
    • Front
Those guys who wear white shirts, cleaning up and putting trays in the bin etc. Actually pretty fun if you know some of the customers and can chat. No cooking involved.
    • Tills
      Self-explanatory. No cooking involved.
So you can easily do 3 of these jobs.

If you don't wanna work for Mickey D's, because you think it's beneath you, just admit it. But quit it with the bullsh!t excuses.
