Come on Phil, enough of the excuses - the state I used to work in sometimes I was barely able to carry glasses so I doubt you'll have many problems. Swallow your pride and get some low end job like most students do. If you don't have this on your CV then you will be flowing to the bottom of the pile irrelevant of the fact that you did a philosophy degree.0 -

I happen to know 3 McDs managers - none of them did anything above A-levels, but have shown the company their willingness to work and learn.
If you are too stupid or lazy to achieve that then you can kiss the HE sector or local government, a long goodbye. Unless you mean cleaning the steps of your local council, a position in which you'd have considerably more dignity than you do right now.

Phil if you don't think you are capable of working in McDonalds what makes you think you are capable of the more prestigous jobs you aspire to?0 -
can't we have this poor chap put down and be done with it? He's clearly in a lot of pain.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

Clearly I wasted my time (why oh why did I not listen??) :wall::wall:
I hope it does get my lots of interviews and I am thankful you spent lots of time on it. If I am more successful now because of your input then you most certainly won't have wasted your time.:beer:0 -

Last time I looked working in an office did not matter if you have poor motor skills and fall over a lot. But in a dangerous kitchen it probably would be very unsafe.:beer:0 -

Phil your attitude will be picked up on by all but the most incompetant of employers - it is this that you need to be working on, more so than trying to get interviews with 'top companies' as you're only going to get more disheartened by rejection.
Now go to the doctors and on the way back get an application form for McDonalds.0 -
Look MacD wont employ me as I am not physically up to the job!!:beer:0

Do you have to work in the kitchen? Can you just serve food and clear tables? I know you'll have an excuse for this too.0
