30 day shred

I agree with people saying its hard to get motivated to do it. But once you get past stage 1 you feel alot more motivated. I go mad if i miss a day now. Becomes part of your daily rountine. I actually love Jillain think shes great. I've just developed tonsilitis so am having couple days rest but am going to try tomorrow day 2 of level 3. Even sickness can't stop me from doing the shred (what have I become :O)
Its defo for toning rather than weight loss on the scales though. Am going to miss the shred at the end of the 30 days.
I even made my boyfriend do it with me on valentines day and the weekend haha. He wasn't happy at all.0 -
I am going to hurt later
Just received an order for JM's Ripped in 30, Extreme shed and shred and killer buns(not a spelling error, that is the title) and thighs. Got the bug now so have to keep on with it!!

I have the 30 day shred and the abs DVD I bought both and some hand weights. I will start tomorrow as I was told today the I could do with toning up... Although truthful it was a slap on the face
Glad to hear results on folk at the end and have good results0 -

Think of the results at the end!!
I must be doing it wrong as I am finding level 1 pretty easy, have considered going straight on to level 2 but I think I will regret it!!
I am going to give the buns and thigh workout a try at the weekend(when I have got sufficient time to recover cause I think that one is going to hurt;)0 -
Well I've got back on the 30 Day Shred wagon after starting last year and getting bored and giving up.
Today was Level 1 Day 1 and I've been doing it every day. I've lost 1lb since doing it so hopefully more will go but not seen any change to my midriff, which is where I'd like to see most of the change.
But having said that I feel really good. I'm running again after resting a sore knee last week so hopefully that too will help.
I really enjoy it when I get in to the swing of it. Level 1 was easy for me (except those side lunges with arm raises, they made my arms ache like billio!) but Level 2 is hard work. You spend a lot of it in plank pose so it really starts to take its toll on the arms.0 -
I have started the 30 day shred....
Started it tonight with 3lb weights... I have it all set up for tomorrow after work to loosen me off again as I think I'll feel it in the morning!!
I am determined to tone up a little bit for the summer months and just to make me feel a little bit better
Hope your all doing well0 -
Just wanted to add a note/tip to anyone who says they ache like billio afterwards;
I found that stretching at the end for longer than what Jillian does on the dvd helps massively to reduce the aching. I do the same stretches as what I do after a run plus some upper body stretches too.0 -
I stopped doing the 30 day shred for a week due to tonsilitis and just not having the stamina. That week I felt sluggish, bloated and flabby. I don't know if its just a mind thing but am back on the shred this week on day 3 level 3 (not as hard as I'd thought but still very challenging, my stomach aches next day) and started killer buns and thighs (done 2 days level 1) and I feel have more energy, more toned, my bum looks toned not flabby. Still got a long way to go oh and i've lost 2 pounds in the last 3 days that just wouldn't shift the last 2 weeks (probs due to not exercising and eating a few bad things). Tried my size 10 jeans on and they don't fit just yet but am hoping by end of march they will.
I know a few others finished the shred and now on to other Jillian Video's. I thought the shred was hard but level 3 is easier than level 1 killer buns and thighs, It kills me and yesterday I could barely walk aching so much. It was painful just to get up from a seat. Best have a bum like J.LO by the end of level 3 haha.
Hows everyone else getting on? still going strong or given up?0 -
I've just done day 9/level 1 and was wondering what to do after the Shred, seems there is lots to choose from!0
