30 day shred

Not much space needed. The floor space I had to do it in my living room is probably smaller than the surface of a double bed, and I managed fine with a little bit of shuffling about in order to fit better for different bits. I know what you mean about some DVDs needing a surprising amount of room, I had one before where I seemed to somehow migrate across a huge distance, especially considering we were supposed to be staying in one spot, not moving around the room!
I tried it out on YouTube to begin with, see if you can find it on there just to see if it'll work out with your space.
I've done the whole thing once before. I didn't take any measurements or photos, or even follow any particular diet plan alongside it. But there was a definite difference on the last day compared to the first!0 -
This morning I went on Youtube and had a go at the level one workout. I didn't find it as hard as I expected though I do feel a bit wobbly on my legs now! I think I might be guilty of "phoning it in" as she says, and will try again tomorrow and really put my all in to it.
I don't have any weights so used tins of tomatoes:p0 -
This morning I couldn't find DVD, so I used youtube on my phone on the mantelpiece. Not quite the same but needs must! So 6/30 for me. Not brilliant as started 2nd January, but at least Im doing it. Fancying doing a yoga 30 mins dvd before hand possibly. Not sure I'll have the time with the children though.LBM January 2017 £34k will have paid back finally by my DFD May 2021got my first store card on my 18th birthday, never known a life without the grey cloud of debt looming over me. 18yrs and the end is finally in sight 🤩0

After reading this post I've checked out the 30 day shred and have decided I'm going to start tomorrow... So I'm in ladies

I tried it a couple of days ago - managed 30 seconds of jumping jacks and realised I need a serious sports bra or I'll do myself an injury! On hold until I go underwear shopping. But once that's sorted, I'll join you all

Sports bra definitely a must!!
D'ya know...I was watching MTV's "I Used to Be Fat" today (totally addicted to that programme - very motivational!!) Anyway, I swear none of the girls have heard of sports bras. Today's ran a 5km (in 43 minutes, lucky sod!) and her DDs (at least) were flying everywhere! I have no idea how she got through it all!0 -
Am just starting 30 day shred again. I've tried it a few times but always give up half way through as my stamina is so bad. I can walk 2 miles easily and do normal exercises without being badly out of breath.
I find the push ups hard because my upper body strength is pathetic.
I just bought some hand weights because I don't think tins of beans are cutting it.
Am starting tomorrow and plan to do level 1 for 10 days and I go into hospital for an op in less than 2 weeks so after my week rest from my op will go back to level 1 for a couple days and then onto level 2. After i've finished 30 day shred probs try her other ones like 60 days to a 6 pack etc. They really do work on myfitnesspal forum there is a thread of ppl showing pictures of before and after 30 day shred and its amazing the difference. I don't think you lose pounds so much but alot of inches.
Its just getting over the first hurdle of finishing the 30mins workout haha. I heard after the first couple days it gets much easier.
Just bought a sports bra, pants and a top from primark so better put good use to them haha.
Good luck everyone0 -
Well. that is day 5 of level one completed
Had a watch of level 2 afterwards (get my brain prepared for the next level
)
Nice to see that there are a few of us all starting around the same time.
Don't forget to take all your measurements, photos, weight etc.
We can and will do this- all thirty days of it!!!0 -
I think I will get back on this! Got the DVD and although I find level one hard, its not impossible. I can do the whole thing without stopping but it makes my calves hurt more than anything.Slimming World Member - Started 05/02/150

8/30 just done for me. Started doing 10 mins of yoga first to wake me up a bit as I creep out of bed to not wake any children. Feeling super motivated, have been drinking warm lemon water a few times a day and cut down the nightly wine.
Go us!! Can't wait for those after pics to see if it's made a difference!
Good luck with everyone else. Agree on sports bra. Didn't wear one today, and although I am really not blessed in that department it wasn't comfortable. I was doing the skipping rope with crossed arms!LBM January 2017 £34k will have paid back finally by my DFD May 2021got my first store card on my 18th birthday, never known a life without the grey cloud of debt looming over me. 18yrs and the end is finally in sight 🤩0
