  • 1.Complete the London 2 Brighton Challenge (100 km long) and the Edinburgh Moonwalk (26.2 miles)

    2. Be happy in my job - even if that means moving

    3. Pay off £1000 more than I need to on my debts

    1. Didn't complete London to Brighton (managed 56km)but did complete the Edinburgh Moonwalk

2 Moved to a less stressful job with the same pay - not entirely happy due to the set up but happy enough to tolerate it until something better comes along.

3 Well less said about this the better!

2014 has been a crappy year, one of the worst in a long while. I hope that 2015 is a lil better....

  • I like this thread - they were talking about resolutions on the radio yesterday and one thing mentioned was that if you share your resolutions with people you're much more likely to stick to them.

So my goals for this year are:

    To be debt-free by July
Once I'm debt free, to save the money that would have gone on payments
To improve my fitness and complete my first sportive (booked for march -eek!)
To sort out the new garden (I want a veg patch for the summer so I can grow some of my own)

I'd forgotten about this thread but I'm really pleased to see that I accomplished my goals... I did improve my fitness and completed a sportive in March but sadly it has taken a big step backwards over the past 6 weeks or so.

Also, the garden was too big a job for a single year so I've done quite a lot of work on it (replaced the fence with a hedge, created a veg patch and started work on creating nice borders) but it'll be a work in progress for a while yet.
Common sense?...There's nothing common about sense!
