For some it’s about building more on already established habits but there are a couple that are really pushing me out of my comfort zone.
I would like to come back and post periodically too, say three monthly or so. This helps with accountability J
 My Goals for 2014:
Improve my health, mental and physical.
 · Lose a little weight (I want to be around 9.7, so lose 5lb) and then maintain. lol this was too ambitious, I've given up on getting to this weight. Alas I've gained the best part of a stone from where I was at the start of the year so unfortunately this is an F grade, a bad one to start with so unfortunately this is an F grade, a bad one to start with
 · Maintain my weightlifting routine twice a week and increase weights Yes for 75% of the year B
 · Walk 10-15k steps per dayA+
 · Free myself from my sugar addiction (started Dec 2013) including alcohol Sugar A, Alcohol B-
 · Eat more vegetables – aim to get to 3 portions per day by middle of year Improving slowly B+
 · Learn more about nutrition B+
 · Go to yoga twice a week and stretch daily A on the yoga, daily stretching is a D
Be mindful in my life and use my mind more:
 · Read every day either for pleasure or for learning B+
 · Surf less (one laptop charge per day) B
 · Only watch TV I really want to see B
 · Write and reflect every day B
 Live an orderly life:
 · Keep up with daily housework routine C
 · Declutter one item per day F!!
 · Maintain positive routines C
 · Buy only what I need B
 · Be very aware of ‘time clutter’ at home and at work B
 · No procrastination, especially at work. Do it now! A+
 Be brave:
 · Take opportunities for travel whenever possible A++
 · Buy a new house (this one is really scary!) A++
 Be kind:
 · Spend more time with friends and family (I have a plan for this) A
 · Be generous in my thoughts especially at work B
 · Be kind to myself, accept my limitations B
So glad this thread popped back up, I've been doing some stocktaking too. There were a few big challenges this year, one of which was a close family member's unexpected illness which we quickly realised was terminal (he passed away at the end of the summer) and that caused a bit of shifting in priorities. I also had some unexpected but exciting opportunities at work that gave me a lot more opportunity to travel but also led to a lot more work. I know this has left me feeling a bit burnt out and has definitely contributed to my weight gain I did however manage all of the additional work and I'm quite proud of this and I definitely have conquered my tendencies towards procrastination. I did however manage all of the additional work and I'm quite proud of this and I definitely have conquered my tendencies towards procrastination.
We also bought the house - this took up a lot of time earlier in the year and there has been further work involved in renovation etc and I'm really proud - it's a long term goal we managed to realise earlier than we expected.
Overall, I prioritised the family and development opportunities over health and particularly over housework lol. I have been more mindful in prioritising things though which feels good, I've made active decisions on what to focus on most of the time.
There's nothing like watching someone going through an illness to make you think about your own health though and I know I need to prioritise this more next year. Not necessarily in terms of just losing weight but more so in protecting my good health, eating well, sleeping properly and getting exercise. I've kept up a bare minimum for all of this year and for some parts of it I've done a lot more than the bare minimum and recent health checks have confirmed that everything is working well. But the truth is that you have to put in the time and I haven't been in the last month or so.
Will look forward to hearing how everyone else got on and seeing the 2015 thread!0

            This year I want to:
 Lose a stone in weight
Have more money in my bank account at the end of the year than at the start of the year.:(
Convert my love of makeup into a love of clothes instead as ive turned into a bit of a scruff.
I have achieved 2 of mine.
Ive lost about a stone in weight.
I have less money in my bank account than I did this time last year due to the fact the family allowance (or whatever its called) for my son stopped a couple of months ago.
Ive stopped looking for the ultimate makeup product that will bring back my youth cause it doesn't exist. I wear less eyeshadow now than ive ever done as I'm scared of looking like mutton dressed as lamb. I am concentrating on flattering my figure and I've bought a few nice flattering dresses that I think I look ok in.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. This year I would like to:
 1. Have a baby (come on IVF #2, we can do this!) Big fail.
 2. Have a plan in place for work (if option 1 doesn't work then I need to find another job as this one is sucking the life out of me and I HATE it with a passion). Still looking. Have had a few interviews so all good practice for when the dream job turns up.
 3. Do some decluttering at home. Overall it's not too bad but somehow all the drawers in the house fill up with rubbish. Am aiming to work through one set of drawers per weekend till they're sorted. Started off well with this but things have slipped a bit. More to do on this one.
 4. Work out how to use my lovely new camera Getting there - still loads to learn but that's the fun bit. Getting there - still loads to learn but that's the fun bit.
 5. Get more involved at church. Again, more to do but quite a bit of progress made over the year.
Could be worse I guess :rotfl:. Have at least made a start on the things that are in my control, not much I could do about number 1.0

 3. Make some new friends Yes
 4. Finish the work needing doing to our new house. ie. get roof and garage fixed, full rewire of house, new windows & re-decorate. All done and dusted!
 5. Continue with my decluttering and organizing mission that I started last year. Done
 6. Say yes more often, and not to be scared of trying new things. Done
I had completely forgotten about this thread.
Have accomplished 3-6. Number 1 was a big fat fail (literally) and I haven't had time for number 2 due to achieving 3 and 6!Value of prizes 2010 - 2017: £8374 Wins 2022: Magic set

            1) Change jobs
 2) Stop smoking-again
 3) Exercise more
 4) Declutter again
 5) Save £2,000
 6) Get DIY sorted
 7) Sort out passport.
 1) change jobs! ✔️ mission accomplished 😄
 2) stop smoking again. ✔️ mission accomplished 😄
 3) exercise more. ✖️ epic fail! 😔
 4) declutter again. Difficult, as I did, but then some stuff built up again. 😔 so it needs doing again now.
 5) save £2,000. ✖️ epic fail. I think I have about £300.
 6) get DIY sorted. Kitchen half done, so at least it's a start.
 7) sort out passport. ✔️ mission accomplished. 😄
So, over all it wasn't a roaring success, however, I console myself with the fact that the 2 main ones were accomplished - Changing jobs and stopping smoking. 😄
According to DD1 I'm joining the gym with her next month. I really do need to lose some timber, I put on some weight when I stopped smoking. 😔
I did manage to pay off the catalogue-which wasn't even on the list! Next year, I intend to repeat this exercise, obviously with some different targets. 😄GE 36 *MFD may 2043

            For me....
 1) Change my eating habits so that I have a healthier diet.
 2) Complete at least 2 units of my studies and be on track to do the 3rd in the New Year of 2015.
 3) Refit the bathroom.
 4) Relations x 2 (bit cryptic but I know exactly what this means).
I forgot that I posted this.
 1) Erm, this one has to roll over to the next year lol.
 2) Done but a bit side tracked on the next unit for the New Year.
 3) Done.
 4) Forgot what this meant at first...
 a) massive improvement so very happy
 b) going the right way but other factors make things difficult at times.
Amazed I actually ticked some things off.0

            In no particular order:
 1. Get a new job. fail, I'm still doing the same job
 2. Make a decision about either moving house or making our current one more like we would buy - starting this very soon by getting house valued decided to stay put but we put in an en suite & I love it
 3. Learn to stop looking back & look forward with a more positive attitude i think I've achieved this
 4. Get fit & lose 9lbs by May to have a better bikini body :-) whoops, this didn't happen either
 5. Appreciate my DH more hopefully he would say he feels more appreciated
 6. Continue to save as much as possible to help fund my retirement have managed to do this, despite having a few fab holidays & buying a new car
 7. Cut down, or better still, cut out smoking ive cut down but I know I need to stop completely
Good luck to everyone with their wishes for 2014
Ok, half of the above achieved which is better than achieving none! Will carry those not achieved over to 2015 0 0

I only caught the 2013 one with 5 months to go, glad I've found this one early
 1. To lose the 4lbs I put on at Christmas, and then another half stone Did it but wasa bit of a yo-yo and currently put back on again for Christmas!
 2. To keep on blogging and get some real viewers, not just spam sites Big fail...work meant I was doing crazy hours and spendin g more time at a PC just didn't appeal
 3. To know where I stand job wise, assuming the company don't change the rules again! Yayy...applied for and got new job that's as permanent as I can hope for :T
 4. To make more soups and new meals Initially yes but the whole work-life balance thing ruined it
 5. To declutter the areas of my house I didn't get round to this year Yes but since mum died in June and I brought lots of her stuff back here it kind of undid things
 6. To have my work inbox under control and all my computer files tidied/deleted Biggest fail of the lot
 7. To be supporting a football team who've qualified for Champion's League (I'm a Liverpool fan) Yesss can't claim any credit but lived the dream for a while - unlikely to be repeated this year though!
 8. To have my 2015 holiday booked Nope - still undecided on what we want to do!
Bit hit and miss for me...more miss than hit and blaming ridiculous work situation for a lot of that. Though that does of course set me up nicely for key thing to address in the 2015 thread!0
