Return to this thread on December 2014

Hi All,

Following the success of last year's thread I thought I would start a resolution thread for 2014 which we can all return to at the end of the year.

Mine for 2014 are as follows and I've carried over a few from last year.

1. Find a girlfriend.

2. Holiday abroad.

3. £5000 more in savings by year end.

4. Improve physical and mental well being.

Happy new year to everyone and I look forward to reading your posts.

    1. Get more organised, I'm sick of running around like a headless chicken when stuff gets dropped on me at the last minute.

    2. Lose weight. No ifs and no buts. No more putting it off, this absolutely has to happen this year.

    3. Improve fitness. This will be in baby steps at first.

    4. Increase savings by getting a handle on our bills and budgeting better.

    5. I'd like to have more patience, my fuse can be quite short at times and there really is no need for it.

    6. Remember to look at this again in December 2014!

I never make resolutions, good luck everyone.

    1. Lose weight - at least 2 stone
    2. Join a club and/or volunteer locally
    3. Make some new friends
    4. Finish the work needing doing to our new house. ie. get roof and garage fixed, full rewire of house, new windows & re-decorate.
    5. Continue with my decluttering and organizing mission that I started last year.
    6. Say yes more often, and not to be scared of trying new things.

This year I would like to:

    1. Have a baby (come on IVF #2, we can do this!)
    2. Have a plan in place for work (if option 1 doesn't work then I need to find another job as this one is sucking the life out of me and I HATE it with a passion)
    3. Do some decluttering at home. Overall it's not too bad but somehow all the drawers in the house fill up with rubbish. Am aiming to work through one set of drawers per weekend till they're sorted
    4. Work out how to use my lovely new camera :)
    5. Get more involved at church

I'm not so much as doing a resolution this year more of a general theme: embrace me.

Focus on being more healthy and finding out more about what I want in my life, last year was a mess, with leaving my job and ending my relationship, so this year is all about me!

Learn to drive! If I'm still waiting around in the rain for buses in December please kick my butt :o

Be more patient with the children and shout less.

Keep the weight off and hopefully lose a bit more (I'm over 2 stone down on last year :D)
Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession :o:o

    1. Loose weight, 2 stone will do it
    2. Have less pain
    3. Retire
    4. Declutter, my home is a shambles and I seriously need to have a clear out
    5. Have my last holiday abroad as if I retire I won't be able to afford it.

    For me....

    1) Change my eating habits so that I have a healthier diet.

    2) Complete at least 2 units of my studies and be on track to do the 3rd in the New Year of 2015.

    3) Refit the bathroom.

    4) Relations x 2 (bit cryptic but I know exactly what this means).
  • This year i would like to:
Spend less time on my bum.
Find a hobbie/social activity that doesnt involve alcohol.
Stop buying things i dont need. (espesially when bored)
    Actively visit friends/family.
    Try to get fitter.
