Good morning all
Monday again already, blergh!
Payday tomorrow which is good. I had a nice realisation over the weekend. My water bill payment hadn't been taken off YNAB. I checked my bank statement, thinking I somehow must have just missed it. Nope, no payments taken since the end of January. I dug out the last letter they sent me and my payment schedule is over 10 months - so I have an extra £19 leftover this month and will have an extra £19 next month! How on earth I've never noticed before that I only pay over 10 months is beyond me - this is the third year I've lived there and been paying the same bills. Doh. Shows how much attention I used to pay. Anyway, it's nice to know I've got a bit extra to throw at the debts.
Not managed to get caught up on 63336 over the weekend. I did some, but I'm 3 or 4 days behind now. It's been so slow over the weekend so it's not been worth my time to sit and wait for the questions to come in. Still, I'm over £200 now so even if I don't meet my target - and I still have a week to get caught up - I've still got a good extra income this month.0 -
Morning!
I didn't know that you could pay your water over 10 months! But now you've noticed that's good as it's extra cash & another proof that what you're doing now is working. It's amazing the things we all missed when we weren't on the case.
Well done on getting £200+ on 63336 though, even if it's not your target it's still more than you had this time last month so that's good. I'm sure you'll reach your target this week and if not? Well there's always next month
Have a lovely weekx

Paid another £16 off the OD out of leftover money this month. I didn't end up going out for tea with friends tonight- didn't feel up to it- so that saved me some money.
Although I can now thrash my payment targets this month, I've decided to throw everything extra at the OD. I'll pay a bit over the minimum for the Barclaycard (planning to pay £100, the min is around £80) but I'm going to concentrate on the OD. It should HOPEFULLY be gone in 3-4 months if I'm good!0 -
Morning hon
Well done on using the leftover money for other bills rather than splurging it. Although I could really do with a splurge right now!
Hope you're feeling better today, sending a big hug your wayx

Thank you hunI've just felt really under the weather for the last week or so. Not really sure what's up with me - I need putting in a bag and shaking up, as my nan would say! :rotfl:
Today is pay day though :j Once I get a minute I'll make my payments and update my signature. I'm also going to reduce my overdraft at the bank today. Exciting stuff! xx0 -
Aah, the paying of the bills. Always a way to make us happy.
Love the putting in a bag phrase, never heard that one! xxCC1: 10273.70/6892.56. CC2: 1000/832

Signature updated - just paid off £100 of the Barclaycard and £200 of the overdraft.
OD now under £1000 :j and has been reduced accordingly. Crap to see my available balance suddenly drop by £500 but nice to see I'm a step closer to having just "real" money in there...!
Paid of £300 out of my wages today. I calculated last week I'd only manage around £270 so I'm worried I've jumped the gun and I've missed something out somewhere. But according to my budget in YNAB it should all add up. So we'll see! If I find myself short, I'll get paid my 63336 money in the first week of March so I can always earmark some of that.
Overdraft is now in 3 digits which is such a nice feeling! :j
My target is to have it paid off by June. It should be doable.
I'm very proud of myself for managing to pay £467 off this month. Not quite sure how I've managed it!0 -

Congratulations - this is all fab. I'm sure that you'll meet your target of paying off the overdraft by June! I get paid on Friday so can't wait until then to get some more paid off.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.9.25 - £106,033.77

Morning all
I logged into my Barclaycard account this morning to check my statements.
Very annoying that yesterday's payment has been credited against last month's statement.. grrrr. I don't know why when this month's payment is due by 24th April, so surely anything from 25th onwards should be against the next month?! Anyway, whatever, I still owe the minimum for this month which sucks. Not the end of the world as it will come out of my 63336 money so it's not like I'm going to have to short myself, but was hoping to be able to pay more towards my overdraft.
Good news though, by checking my statement I saw that I'd been credited with a £19 "balance transfer fee credit". Absolutely no idea what that is, but I'm not complaining.0
