Not much to update today. I'm so glad it's Friday. Don't have that Friday feeling though. I've been in such a funk for the last week or so and I can't seem to shake it
I got an extra £4 in the bank today thanks to my little foray into mystery shopping earlier in the month! Not much, but hey, every little helps.
Also listed another game on ebay and will be having a look around the house to see what else I can list over the weekend.
Have a good one everyone xx0 -
Aaaw, we all need that Friday feeling hon, maybe a Crunchie would help! lol
Seriously though I hope you can shake your funk off soon and enjoy the weekend ahead. Have a lovely evening everyone xCC1: 10273.70/6892.56. CC2: 1000/832

Afternoon guys & gals
Monday's here yet again! I'm not at work today though so not as bad as most mondays. I'm meeting a friend for lunch soon - she's been away at uni for a long time, so haven't got to spend much time with her in the last couple years so that'll be nice.
I feel like I've had quite a spendy weekend, but of course all spending has been within budget! £24 on Aldi groceries on Saturday, then I paid for me and OH to have dinner out (£18.50). Flowers for mum yesterday.
I did inherit some new free cushions yesterday - parents got some new ones so I bagged their old ones! That's brightened up my living room a bit.
Sold a game on ebay on Saturday so after fees I'll probably have £10 or so. I've just listed something else too. I've been collecting the Disney "classics" DVDs for a few years now, and as much as I love having them I NEVER watch them, and 99% probably never will. Decided to list them as a bundle on ebay, *hopefully* I should get £200+ as a lot of the disney classics films are valuable but we'll see what happens.
Did £20 63336 on Friday night, so I'm on £240 but haven't managed to do any more. I'll try do at least another £10 tonight- I'll be happy with £250 for the month!
Enough rambling - I'm still sat here in my dressing gown and PJs and I've got to meet my friend in 45 mins!
Hope everyone has a good day xx0 -
Evening
Wow, that's a lot of Disney classics - hope they sell. Did you have a good lunch with your friend? Hopefully you got changed!x

Morning all!
Happy April - can't believe we're almost a 1/3 through the year already. Time's ticking away if I want to be debt free by Christmas...
March doesn't feel like it's been a good month but it really has in terms of payments. I've thrashed my goal of £300 paid off per month. From here on out, my goal is £500 per month so I REALLY need to up the ante.
Without further ado..
March
Barclaycard
starting: £3,762
closing: £3,620
£142 paid
Overdraft
starting: £1,268
closing: £924
£344 paid
TOTAL: £486 paid
8.5%
TOTAL SINCE JANUARY 2014:
CC1 £3,949 £3,620 - £329 paid
CC2 £269 £0 - £269 paid
OD £1,500 £929 - £571 paid
Total £5,718 £4,544
20.5% paid off/ £1174
Now, if I could get the total under £4,000 by the end of April that would be amazing. I think that's what I'm going to aim for... best get my !!!! in gear then hadn't I?!0 -
First payment of the month made to get me off the mark.
£15 transferred from Paypal from an eBay sale and a £3 Pinecone Research payment and put against the overdraft.0 -
Hey hon
That's a brilliant start! I've every confidence in you to reach your target so get that butt in gear
Have a great evening xCC1: 10273.70/6892.56. CC2: 1000/832

Morning all
Just a quick update because it feels like I haven't done anything in a while. Just haven't had anything to say!
Today I got paid from 63336. I've not allocated any payments yet but I'll do that later and update here once I have.
So far this month I've only got £10 on questions - did an hour last night, it's the first chance I've had really (well that's a lie, I've just not really felt like it and spent my evenings Monday and Tuesday doing other less productive things...) but I'll certainly get back into the groove over the weekend. Once again I'm going to aim for £300, but I'm not confident I'll hit it this time either.
My lot of Disney DVDs on ebay ends tomorrow afternoon - no bid yet but I've got 28 people watching so I'm hoping that I will get some interest. The starting bid is high, but it's the least I'm willing to accept because I KNOW they are worth more. I was going to start at 99p and put a reserve - because a lot of the time you'll end up getting more bids and people do go higher if you start low - but it was going to cost £7 just for the listing with a reserve!! No thanks!! Instead it cost 10p to start where I wanted. Had a pointless and stupid email from another ebay user saying something like "nice collection, shame they're on the equivalent of VHS" - just why?! What kind of *!&£ takes time out of their life to make such a stupid comment? That kind of stuff really riles me up. I just don't get it. And it's not like DVDs are anywhere near being an old format anyway. I only have a bluray player because I've got a PS3, I wouldn't have one otherwise and most people I know don't have one either.
Grr! Sorry, that was just my gripe this week.
Nothing else of note to report - I'll update later though once payments have been made. Got about £180 after tax to throw around. I need to make my min card payment (since the annoyance with my usual payment being credited against last month), I think that's about £85, and then the rest will go against the overdraft.0 -
OK, payments made and signature updated. £90 towards Barclaycard and £90 towards overdraft.
24% gone altogether. I can't wait for the overdraft to be gone, then I can start seeing bigger chunks being knocked out of the credit card.
Just trying to work out the earliest I'll see the OD go... IF my auction sells tomorrow then I can have the overdraft paid off by May payday. If not then it'll be the beginning of June with a 63336 payment. It's so close yet so far...0 -
Hey guys
Well, my ebay lot sold yesterday - I've got £170 after fees. That's gone straight towards the overdraft. Down to £649 now! And 6 days into the month I've already paid off more than I had in the entirety of Jan and Feb. Granted it was a one-off sale but it's a nice feeling. Officially over 1/4 of the way there now.
I also made another ebay sale on Friday of £68. I was dead happy as it was something on Buy It Now that I wasn't sure whether it would shift. Literally 30 mins after selling it and the buyer paying me, she emailed to cancel the order. Grrr. I was miffed, but oh well. Nothing lost, nothing gained.
Caught up a bit on 63336 over the weekend - on £50 now. Also done a couple surveys this afternoon - just did enough on MySurvey to allow me to cash out £5.
Hope everyone's had a good weekend x0
