I think you`ll find your wrong , as our deeds are the same as theirs , and specifically state that a fence must be maintained in good order at all times

In reality , yes , i might do it myself , but thats what the deeds say

p.s , there is NO FENCE at this time in any case so nothing to `repair`

So who would enforce that? There are no laws stating you must have a fence on the boundary.

I never said anyone would enforce it , i was simply stating the deeds specifically refer to fences , and maintaining them

And as i said , which you chose to ignore , in reality , things are different and i will probably do it myself

I think you will find that they cannot be forced to actually do anything to repair the fence. So if you feel the need for a solid boundary between you and them, it might be up to you to provide it.
I am thankful that in over 35years I have never had anything other than good relations with my neighbours on both sides and at the back. We have quite often shared the cost of fence or hedge repairs as it was to be to the benefit of us both..

Last Spring i started to plant hedgeing plants against one of my fences, ok it's going to take a few years for it to grow, but i'm fed up fixing the fence which my neighbour never maintains.

I think if i had endless amounts of cash, plus the fact that the deeds specifically refer to a fence and its maintenance, then yes, i would expect to be able to pursue them through civil means

But it`s all digressing , i haven’t got mounds of cash , i don’t want to pursue anything , and if after a few weeks no fence appears , i will do it myself because my dogs and kids matter more than a tight !!!! neighbour with an attitude problem

And Make it a HIGH Fence, just to really annoy them....... and keep an eye on whether they try to fix, hang, screw, nail etc anything to it and if they do make a point of asking them to remove it from YOUR Property........ play them at their own game.........
sh.1t, I'd hate to have me as a neighbour to get on the wrong side off ;-0

When you put the new panel in be sure to paint on it, in big letters and a garish colour, 'Property of Dan-Dan' or some other phrase of your choice;), on their side.
