Why not tell the neighbours that you are buying them two fence panels as a late Christmas gift? That way you absolve yourself of acquiring responsibility for the fence.

Personally I'd rather fix the fence than get involved in a long running petty dispute. You now know your neighbours are @rseholes. Don't sink to their level. Don't have anymore to do with them.

I agree , and thanks for your post , it irrtates me when posts like #104 blatantly dont bother reading the whole thread and them make suggestions that have already been agreed , its the wider picture that concerns me , as in , i replace them , they can take them down as on their boundary = wasted cost , i could install my own boundary = lost land and extra cost , plus the two boundaries fences i currently maintain anyway

In any event , they had a fencer round at the w/e measuring up so fingers crossed...
