i said this on the other thread , our , and our neighbours deeds specifically refer to the prescense of a fence and the duty to upkeep it
However a fence can be two tent pegs with a bit of string between them. It doesn't have to be anything substantial, just something that marks the boundary

If there fence panel is hanging in your garden I'd ask them to remove it as it is damaging your lawn as you don't want the Police around again trying to arrest you for criminal damage, oh and ask them for their one insurance details as something must have been damaged in your garden, just to wind them up.

BTW where are your neighbours from?

    Next door.

Or are you trying to make it racist?

Going to leave it this weekend just to see if anything occurs , then set about sorting the gaping hole out , or alternatively our dogs could always use their garden as a toilet
Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.

Trouble is you have a duty not to let your dogs stray.

Agreed , but i`m sure a sad face along with promises of "were doing our best" will go down OK with the local Police who already have our neighbours down as timewasters....

    What about a new pet?

One of these and some more here....

They are prone to wander through gaps....

Or, if you want to go the whole hog

Barbecue time in the summer, you can invite all the neighbours round, as there'll be plenty to eat, and easy access to your garden as well!

Update , for those interested , i had a discussion with the neighbour two weeks ago , as more storms had bough down more of their fencing , they are adamant that i commited criminal damage still......

Anyway , my bigger concern now is this........the fence that has now blown down , is there BACK FENCE , so if you can picture it , they now have two panels missing between our gardens , but not only that , both our gardens are now exposed to the access road running beyond our houses , as in , you can literally walk off the street straight into their garden , and if desired , straight into ours

Now , i know , i cannot force them to replace fencing thay admit they own , whatever a covenant says in the deeds (who`s going to enforce it anyway!) but my concern is now , my house is at risk , and i dont like that , what are my options?

Put up a 6' fence on your side of the boundary.
