    Good morning :)

Good non spendy weekend. Trainer cancelled as just too windy so have saved that money for next time, wee bit of saving in budget. Spent saturday tidying garden and chopping wood, had loads of odd bits so now have loads so should be able to limit heating slightly, save a few more pennies :) Sunday as was nice and sunny gave hossie a good groom, trimmed feathers and generally looked smart, not for long though as she was filthy again when I put her to bed last night  All food was from freezer apart from friday which OH bought food for us to eat at home.

Ex is away this week helping a friend in devon so am really enjoying the peace. Am really determined to try and take on this house as has been lovely and really feel like accomplished a few things.

£1.37 landed from Quidco, sold few things on ebay so £11 profit there and £41 min payment all sent to credit card so nice payment :D

Have £137 left in bills account, dont think need to use this as no council tax and water so will leave till friday and then send to credit card. Have worked out next months budget and even with a slight raise in our virgin (tv/internet/phone) bill again with no council tax to pay should end up with a surplus of £35 and will also save me an extra £40 from my account, all can be sent to the debt again :D

    Good morning :)

Checked all direct debits and definite no more to come out, so rather than sitting in account for few days not gathering interest have sent £130 of the joint account money to be CC so another big chunk taken off :)

Form received from CPP re refund so will fill that out and get it sent back asap, hopefully a few more pounds to come back, fingers crossed.

Used the free wood we have and made use of my open fire to keep me warm last night and just had the heating on for half hour (just to take chill of upstairs) rather than the normal 2ish hours so a great saving on gas, will keep doing this. At the moment in credit on gas account but in debit on electricity account so will see if I can offset one against the other as both with the same company and should be about right. With ex away this week my electricity usage will be more than halved as he uses shed loads so another saving.

NSD yesterday, not today as car gone in for mot and service, fingers crossed not much more than what I have in savings. Dinner out of the freezer, lunch bought in and a birthday card found from stash for a friend :)

    Good morning :)

Car service and mot went ok just a tyre repair to do and came to £316.78, had £315 in savings so only £2 to find from current account, so pleased :D Next big thing (if nothing else goes wrong in the meantime) is the house insurance in june so need to start thinking about trying to save for that.

Spendy day today £1 at doctors parking this morning, cash for yard owner for weekend and of to tescos this evening, need to get few fresh bits, loo roll and laundry powder, have £9 in vouchers and enough in budget so should be fine :)

    Good morning :)

Ordered horse food/bedding for delivery next week, £251 but this is 10/12 weeks worth. This went on my CC :( Do have budget each month but need to adjust slightly as not enough but can amend other bits like had £10 for charges for interest that I no longer need as not in my overdraft anymore :)

£47 spent in tesco last night which included loads of emergency choc for work and 36 loo rolls so will keep me going for a while.

Payday tomorrow so have done a round up of the bank and have sent £65 to my credit card as this was surplus :) Hoping to get a bigger amount next month!

    Good morning :)

Lovely non spendy weekend, didnt spend a penny :D Went to watch wales v france in cardiff, OH had previously paid for tickets, OH's parents drove and paid for dinner and then OH paid £5 for me to get some strepsils as poorly again.

Saturday and Sunday were lazy days, doing hossie and generally resting so no spends and all meals from stores.

Payday has been and gone with new budget. Joint a/c worked out should have surplus of around £35 at the end of the month so keeping an eye on that. Am in budget on my account but its tight. Have already sent £50 to my NWCC for my horse food budget, do need to up this but probably next month. Need extra for yard owner as away for few days but can balance out as will be less for the horse trainer. Horse trainer out tomorrow but have money left over from last month so already £25 up :)

CC's not looking great, sainsburys stands at £1111.03 but with only 38p interest should be charged this month, my NW CC stands at £5408 with approx £20 interest so this is the one I am focusing on. Will get there somehow.

Noticed ex OH had a letter from his cc raising his credit limit on his CC to £13900, which is shocking! I have no idea how much he owes on this card but knowing his spending habits this is only going to encourage him further. Really do need to get out of this situation asap to be able to take over the house. Need to have a chat shortly and see what happens.

Must clear this debt and be able to save some mega bucks to be in a position to move on properly with no financial ties. Watch this space.

    Good morning :)

£127 paid out yesterday but reclaimable expenses, also due about £5 from paying out expenses. Will be also about £70 of mileage expenses, hopefully all get back in a few days, will be up about £50 from the mileage so will send that straight to the CC.

Checked all savings accounts today and had money in one for my vet due in May, was pitiful interest and worked out interest and will be a lot cheaper if I send this to my CC and use my overdraft to pay for the vet. CC interest is about £30, will get charged about £1 for overdraft interest so makes a lot of difference. Will claw back overdraft again but tight budgeting. So payment made of £103.75 this morning sent to my CC. All savings accounts now stand at 0 :( When the debt is paid this is the first thing to be re-built.

Need to get fuel today but this is all budgeted for. Lunch bought in and food out of the freezer ready for tonight. Horse trainer later but already have the money put aside from last month.

    Good afternoon :)

Down in sunny Southampton for the day, working in our other office, long 2 hour journey down due to accident, hope drive home isn't as bad or hossie will be waiting a while to come in.

£200 of expenses put in with about £140 of actual paid out money, the rest is profit etc on mileage so can transfer excess to CC once its received.

£3 received from survey site so that has been sent to my CC.

Been feeling really tired and fed up recently and have got every infection going, have low thyroid anyhow, but finally lost it and went to the doctors and have got results today am low in B vitamins, so fully explains tiredness etc. Mum is picking up prescription today, not sure what yet, wait and see but hope it all helps.

  • Hi Baldybear,

Just came across your thread as I saw the word "horses" in it (i'm a horse lover too, was a horse owner til I lost my beloved boy last sept) and saw your pics of the flooded fields. It looks really familiar and I could swear that was the yard near my old house! Is there a little church nearby called St Mary's (not wanting to give your location away if I'm correct)...
