Interesting, Lozzy, I've just looked on there and its £140 cash. There is one not far from work, but I have my reservations. I've read horror stories of them "taking it out the back" and something carp happening like it getting damaged or swapped for a different one so they can offer a lower value
But I guess that could happen anywhere
ETA it's not boxed so they would grade it as parts missing anyway, so I think I might go with a post-in service after all. Stress free, I can root around for any other handsets and send them all in together! Decluttering too :TBossymoo

Do you have a local buying/selling site on FB bossy? Or just put a postcard in the newsagents window or wherever? I'm waiting for a replacement phone for my insurance claim from the theft of my phone in December. That's what I intend to do with the replacement. l've got a lovely new phone as I couldn't be without one. Depressing really when you consider we all managed fine without them back in the 80's? Feeling old now!
I like that idea Dusty. The utility room is in need of much flinging! my bedroom next, then the littlies.
Welcome back FBO.
Need to collect DS2 from football training.....0 -

Dusty congrats to DS2
Bossy isn't there a tool on MSE to see who'll offer you the best deal on your phone?
FBO Good luck with the first day & continuing foray into your new life.
Mim Sorry for your loss - please take it easy x

Some out of date items from the pantry chucked out

Not been on for a couple of days but I've an excuss ma ludd
DH went to Hosp on Thursday, end result is that he has to have another procedure done at out hosp and then Oxford take over and he's going to have a major operation as soon as it can get fitted in [not Kidney removal than goodness] all this means that he won't be back to work for a long time and that means he'll lose his job but hey ho we'll cope, ESA has been applied for, I can't start job hunting until after he's had the Op but I will do then if needed [all depends on his recovery rate]
So not really a great couple of days, ironing and washing piled up to the ceiling, but have managed to keep on top of other bits, need to get washing sorted over the weekend at least!
Hugs sticks and spoons to who ever needs them :]Projects made for craft fair - 40

Spent day at parents' house again0 -
Thanks for the warm welcome. I didn't get much else done today but I plan to unload the dishwasher tonight, so another load of washing, clean the hallway - wipe the walls down as we have washable paint on the walls, wipe down skirting boards and mop. The dogs come in this door and they shake all their muddy selves all over the walls lol.3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:

hello all
late home again; meeting with boss to look at who is getting 'pushed' now.
found hard copy of leaflet I have to give out; so have managed to retype it; will get someone to look over it before I do give it out.
trip confirmed!
I like the 'focus on one room' idea too - spring claenign one room at a time is the way to go anyway;)
Flying? I have washed up (by hand) including hob racks and knobs, emptied DW, done two washloads and run them through dryer.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear0 -
All 10 loads are washed and dried! Probably 1/2 an hour of ironing there is all. Have put nearly all of it away too but have left the last load in the TD as I sat down at 10:10 and remembered it but thought- nah, sod it
!
We have demolished a tin of Roses too so that's gone out for recycling tomorrow.Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -
The BD has wandered in, made itself at home, and is eyeing up the three HM Xmas puds I have put by for desserts through the cold months.:(
.
My BD has been howling in the kitchen, eyeing up popcorn kernels....in a bid to chase it off into a carbs coma, I have decluttered half a bag of kernels the last few days.....homestyle toffee/caramel popcorn with a hint of cinnamon.
But yes, I do think a kennel to house those naughty BD with a hefty padlock and some CCTV would be great! The cold never bothered me anyway0 -
Can't believe I'm still up! Ex text to say he won't be here until about 10.15 after all...but I'm not telling DD that
Hopefully she can get the 2 remaining pieces of homework done before he arrives, one is almost half done and just requires cutting and sticking stuff, the other is an evaluation of an experiment they did in Chemistry so neither should take her very long
I've got laundry on maidens/radiators and the stuff we need for the morning is in the drier. I'm just hoping I have the will power to get up and sorted in the morning to put the livingroom back together. I now have about an hours worth of ironing to do :rotfl:
Oh well, journal, empty the TD when its done and then bed. I think an early night is on the cards tomorrow. :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0
