I use 40 sausages when doing casserole for my lot.. then cut them all into 4 or 5 bits... it takes forever but they love it

    DW on AGAIN

    Everyone but me fed.. AGAIN

more toys picked up .. not found enough floor to bother vacuuming yet though.. Just going to get 2 tiddlies to bed then dealing with the Pixie until midnight knowing her.. *cry* I am so tired Ihonestly could just cry.

OH did a tip run so we have less rubbish lurking about... he was taking DD1's OH so chucked a couple of our boxes in.

DS1 brought his beastlings round so they've been charging about disrupting my flinging too.. like it takes much!

    Evening

    Wrk done
Only daily flying done, I am right behind this week.

I never buy bubble wrap, just get it from veg / fruit section of mrt's as Valli does, saves a fortune, I just get some 2 or 3 sheets of it, everytime I go. It soon mounts up.

Might get flying hat on later.

Heh, Piggers, there are 30 bangers in the oven for the 7 of us  I will get the last scrapings, as per usual, I'll be lucky if I see 2 of them. DSS refuses to eat ANY vegetables and expects more meat than anyone else to compensate, he is 16 years old and if he were mine, I would kick his backside. Alas, he is not :o

It's smelling good though, almost so nice as my cider is tasting.

I hope you get a decent rest tonight. My hat is off to you, I honestly do not know how you manage to have so many littlies and still flap your wings xx

I do mash with ours and Yorkshire puds if I am feeling virtuous it packs it out a bit.. and guests, picky visitors all get the same rules.. eat it or starve lol..

I've barely mustered a flutter the last year.. I have just emailed someone and offered her several large items to renovate.. if I get £100 for the lot I shall be delighted anything more is a bonus.

Bunny should hopefully be going to his new home soon.. :( .. I love him but just have no time for him which is why I need to let him go.

Fizz~ what do you mean you don't get a look in, here all main food gets served on plates, so it is equal for all unless small kids are here, they get less! then folk help them selves to veg I have cooked / gravey etc........... I only cook the one meal, folk eat it or go without their choice!

  • FizzWhizz - I can see that you have a double handed problem here - ie both DSS and your OH.

At 16 the lad needs to know that having more meat to compensate for not eating veg is unacceptable... can you not talk to OH about this? Can you not get OH to dish it up - so he SEES how unfair it is?

I have stripped and washed bedding for 2 beds today. Beds are remade and I am about to iron the clean washing.

Hugs and flylady posi-vibes to all who need - esp Helen Jelly's husband - hope you see an improvement soon.

DS trained as a joiner - shall I get him started on a large lockable pen to house all these black dogs?

Belated congrats to Dusty's DS2 on his success with his driving theory test. DD1 has started lessons but is finding it very challenging. Hopefully it will get easier...

    Hello All

pigpen I meant to say yesterday how cute Pixie is. DD1 is a lovely knitter, the jumper is fantastic.
    Fizzwhizz Enjoy your cider

Well this morning I was at the paid stuff so have only had the afternoon to commence operation move back 'home'. I've been able to cross something off the list - the wallpaper (in places there was 4 layers of paper) in the bathroom has been removed and also the dado rail, accidently :o

I then cleared all the wallpaper into a bin liner and gave the bath, sink, tiles & floor a good clean.

Bed has been stripped and remade with fresh linen.
Tomorrow's plan of action is to wash the walls in the shower room in preparation for painting and removing the wallpaper in there. There is also a damp stain on the ceiling in the bathroom which needs to be painted with some specialist paint that I have.

Now enjoying a glass of fizz

    Goodnight all

Ladies, I hold my hands up, you have found me out for being the big, soft sh!te I am :o I hate an argument, always have, and that definitely makes me a pushover :( DH in theory *could* have his say, but DSS is the 'golden boy' who gets away with murder so I doubt it would have any effect. I think we just come from different schools of parenting, I am hard on my kids, always have been and I make no apologies for it, the first thing my inlaws said to me when they met my children was how well mannered and 'good' they are, which is the biggest compliment they could have paid me. DH is much more easy going than I am -- if DD spoke to me the way that my DSD talks to DH then I would (metaphorically) knock her head off her shoulders -- and I can admit, it's not a case of, I'm right and he's wrong, we're just different. And on the very rare occasions where DH has nipped at my boys, I have been very riled, so it would be two faced of me to expect him to take my parenting criticisms on the chin if I can't do the same.

On the whole, my whinges centre around mealtimes, just because his children are so bloody picky. Maybe I have been blessed with children who are adventurous and enjoy a wide range of foods, maybe DH has 'sat up' with his pair for so long that he's made a rod for his own back. I now make him choose what's for dinner when his children are here because it causes me such a headache, and I think that is making him realise just how limited their diets are. Either way, this is the hand we have been dealt and in the grand scheme of things, we have five children who all love each other and if that's the main beef then I guess we are pretty lucky?!

Fizz, if someone *has* to have less because DSS is having more because DH won't deal with it, then DH should have less, not you! That may concentrate his mind a little ;) Dish all up equal and when he asks for more say "take it off your dads, if you dare" lol

Holiday booked, £££s decluttered, Berger all else done as collected kiddies and DS seems to have a couple of spots near tonsils argh and DD is just a grot. I've just chased her back to bed. Tomorrow she is having a chart for going to / staying in bed. Or I may lose the last of my marbles

I did, however, before going out clean half the garage rug <don't ask> and vacced 3/4 of the car - somehow did every seat / footwell but the drivers  what am I like? DS birthday presents are wrapped as I've nowhere to put them and he will peek :rotfl: and I did a spot of cooking. The fridge is organised, anyway...
