Pigpen what steam mop did you order? I'm a After one that does floors and can be used as a handheld too. Finally got rid of the smell of sick from last Saturday yay

there was a thread on this board yesterday which sang high praises of the Morphy Richards 9 in 1 so I got that.. it was £52.99 but the carpet on the stairs is horrific and the bit where the girls table is in the middle room is even worse!

Oh she got the new house then, pigpen? Great news! When do they move?

Also, do your boys know anything about hotwheels? My brother sent DS some track for Xmas but I've no idea what to do with it. We've attached some to the garage but there is loop the loop track but nothing to hold it up with

We used to have a little clamp thing but I still don't know how to get the loop to stay up. With his birthday coming up soon I wondered if there was anything I could get him? Or I might just get creative and build something in the garage... :rotfl:

What on earth possessed me to have. 'Little sort out' in the littlies bedroom.
2 hours later I'm still knee deep in gibble. 3 carrier bags to the wheelie bin so far. I have so many books that my 2 have outgrown. I wish some of you with little ones lived nearer as I'd gladly pass them on.

We went to look at sofas today but came home uninspired. It's so cold! DS2 is playing a cup semi-final match at the moment. No score updates from DH.

I've drunk my tea so I'd best get back up to the mess I've created!

Yes they got the house.. they are moving tomorrow!!!!!!!

Our loop the loop track had a flat base plate the track clipped into at the place it crossed over at he bottom of the loop.. I'm not sure how it works now. It was the tension in the base that supported the loop.. if the loop is too big it over balances so needs longer tails to hold it balanced.

DS3's wardrobes decluttered.. He has pj's, and tshirts and school uniform left.. I need to shop!! *sob cry wail* I can't afford to refill his wardrobe.. but if anyone wants a bundle of 13-15 clothes I have 2 binbags worth here.. including stacks of new aged stuff.. and grey school trousers

Pigpen - Steam cleaner looks good! I'm tempted, but forked out quite a lot of money this month so it will be elbow grease for me for a while - do let us know how you get on with it though, if it's amazing I might get one next month!

Glad so many of you are being so proactive today. LR furniture all pulled out and hoovered and dusted behind. As it was decorated in the summer it stays nice and there is only one cupboard and drawers which could have a little declutter if the mood takes me (half term I think with DS3 as it is all toys and we have been playing board games of an evening so I know all the ones in current use).

Just waiting for the kitchen floor to dry and then I'll make a cuppa and put the meat in - we are having a reduced turkey crown and that should sort out a day or two lunch fillings too.

    The plan for next week

Ok here is what I plan, next week I do a declutter and spring clean week for one type of room (either a reception, bedroom or kitchen) the following week Natty does a 'normal' week and anybody can repeat the previous week if they have more than one room of this type to do. Then I do another declutter/spring clean week for the another type of room. Natty does a normal week and then final declutter/spring clean week. By the end of February we should have covered loads and can look forward to spring all ship shape.

So which sort do we start with reception (Living/dining/study/conservatory) or a bedroom?
Thought we'd leave the kitchen a few weeks for people to use up Christmas supplies.
