Finally had my hair cut!
it's been in need since we got back from honeymoon in November  and it appears my curls have their bounce back! I'll reserve full judgement until I have washed and dried it myself, she gave me a centre parting, I haven't had one of those since I was about 6
DH is expecting a bonus this year so he's been busying himself pricing up a return trip to Dubai in October. To say I am excited is an understatement!
I'm expecting DN2 at 2.30 as his DSIL has an appointment at DN1's school and she doesn't want the little un there distracting her. DN1 has only managed about a week at school since October half termso the EWO is getting involved, it's a real stress they could all do without.
I could do with flapping my wings a bit so the house is relatively tidy before the 5 child onslaught this weekend, but all I want to do is read my book and chill0 -
I've finished preparing the books, took the school ones round as one my customers is the cook and she leaves mid afternoon, and now I'm home trying to warm up before going out to deliver the other 58 to customer houses as my hands were numb when I got home despite wearing gloves and being out less than 10min!
I've also had a bath, changed DD's bed, stripped mine and fed the washing machine twice, hanging the first on the maiden. Plans to go to the shops may have to be delayed until Monday. The books will take me a good hour or more to put out (multiple trips as I do it all on foot) and by then DD will be heading home, it'll be starting to get dark, and the forecast is for rain by then. I won't go tomorrow as I hate how busy those shops get at the weekend and I want to get to the market before the butcher leaves this weekCreeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Can I join? Our house is a tip......
I need to get a system before baby comes in May.....front room is generally always tidy but the rest of the house is not. Kitchen is too small the cupboards need resorting to use the space best. Dinner table is the dumping ground. OH and DS walk in and just leave all their stuff on the table. Grrrrrr.
This morning I have done two loads of washing, loaded the dishwasher, cleaned some post and papers of the dinner table. I need to hoover but I have a bad back so resting with a hot water bottle - due to pregnancy I have a bad back. x3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:

Wow. 2.5 hours ironing! Another load in TD, 1 in WM waiting to TD and 2 more left to wash. I'll have done 10 loads of washing tonight by the time I finish this lot. Well impressed!
Just having a little sit now as back aches!
Still more to do from list but it's been my first day at it since 18th December! You can see the fly lady touch all over the house.
Another HHC starting at 3pm. Anyone care to join me?Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -
Welcome Samtoby, please take it easy on your back - we all have dumping grounds (hotspots) and dining room tables are popular ones.
Upstairs hoovered (apart from the bathroom as DS1 was in there showering before work) and half dusted the dining room. Teabreak time now.
Idea for next week - comments please from you all
I thought as we are hopefully getting straight now after Christmas to mix it up next week. I was thinking along the lines of really concentrating on one room, giving it a good declutter and deep clean and backing this up with a keeping on top of the rest of the house with the basics at the same time? Please do say if you'd rather stay as we are and if we are going for 'a room in a week' do you want to suggest a room or for me to make it general and you all choose your room? The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
