:bdaycake: Happy Birthday Pooky! sorry your DD is not well xx

DS has had his interview and will find out next week, in the meantime have spotted another job which might suit him better which is something to do with the internet and webcraft so he's going to ring up about that one too.

Think its finally stopped raining here!:j roads here are awful, full of water.

Catowen - your strange pong reminds me about when we had a terrible fishy smell in the kitchen and couldn't get to the bottom of it, turned out to be DH had put a stinky cloth covered in codliver oil(something he gives his pigeons) to dry on the radiator under he breakfast bar and it absolutely honked! took us ages to figure it out!

Am making HM burgers for tea with bacon and cheese - all ok on a 'red' day!:D

must get up and do something!

    Good Afternoon All

Cant believe the rain, its been non stop all day! My water feature has a bucket which stands just over a foot in height, thats overflowing due to all the rain we've had!
Work went quick! Got terrible back pain again. Dosed up on pain killers again.

Had a text from exOH to say he's been called over to birmingham, nurse reckons he wont last the night (exFIL that is - not the EX) - we've been hearing this now for weeks. So time will tell - gosh - that sounds heartless (i dont mean to be - honest) If its the case, Im so pleased the kids saw him this wk end! Im just upset, that Ive not been able to see him

Off to see SIL later, as she flies out to Florida tomorrow. Doubt I will see her again - unless I visit! My brother flies out on 17th July. They have built a website for the family to view their story! I guess its an escape goat not to keep repeating their news to friends/family. They have uploaded a fantastic pic of themselves, I cry every time I view it. I will miss him.

Bangers & mash for dinner, was going to do a casserole but can't be bothered now!

Ive been sorting out more craft items ready to list on ebay! Still trying to minimise my stock.

My passport arrived on Friday, very posh (not the photo let me tell you) I look like Moira Hindley! Just hope we can get last minute deal again!

Anyway, best get changed & get ready for the school run!
    Catch you later

    Afternoon All

Many Happy Returns Pooky - hope you have a great day.

Been good today, have cleaned bathrooms, given my bedroom & the hallway a good going over, hoovered everywhere and washed kitchen floor. 3 loads of washing done and dried - had to use tumble dryer weather is terrible. Just 4 more of DD's school shirts to iron then its all done & dusted.

Going to do a little paperwork then have a lovely evening in front of the telly or may finish my book. Early night as well have been very late last couple of nights.

Hope all your days are going well.

Crazychik - sad that your family are going but what a wonderful place to visit them. Am so envious of people leaving this country but dont know if I really want to do the same or if its just a case of the grass is always greener? Have got a bit of a thing about New Zealand though, hope to go there on holiday in a couple of years and maybe if we really like it not come back!

    Hi Hun!

The ones I have are Jonelle from John Lewis and they dont fluff everywhere. I stuck them through a hot wash when I got them and theyve been fine. They should be ok after a few washes, if not, I would take them back and explain the situation. M&S are fabulous with their CS. Are the towels very heavy? Mine are and they take forever to dry, but always try to dry them on the line outside.

Washing machine man can't come till weds - AAAAARGH!

Catowen your smell (that doesn't sound very frinedly does it) reminds me of a pong that we had. It was about twenty years ago when video players were the in-thing. There was a pong in the living room that had me down on my hands and knees sniffing for the cause for weeks. Trouble was it was intermittent so I would wash the carpet and everything else, think the smell had gone and then it would come back. The mystery was solved when the video broke down and the man retreived half a VERY dry kipper that dd, then 2, had posted - how it worked for all that time I have no idea but there you go

Well, the rain has stopped by I'm FREEZING! I've put the heating on. How OS is that? Central heating in June?!
    HAPPY BIRTHDAY POOKY!!
TINKERBELLUK - Normandy is lovely; the French countryside is beautiful - good for the soul! I hope you enjoy it and that it does the trick.
CRAZYCHIK - my thoughts are with you.
PP- so sorry about your friend.

Well, the ironing board has been up for hours and not a thing ironed. Once I'd put the heating on, I just had a little sit down on the sofa and that was it - dozed off for about an hour and woke up gasping for a cuppa! I'm going to iron a few things now just so I don't waste the effort of getting it all ready.
We're having new boiled pots, Olde English sausages, mushrooms, onions and ......maybe beans (for DH!), followed by strawberries, blueberries topped with Greek yoghurt mixed with the rest of yesterday's custard - yum!
Whoops, look at the time - I must get on with the ironing!

    See you all later

Hello, what a day    I've been up since 6:30 and it hasn't stopped raining. Really bad here - the school is starting to flood, so Small Penguins sent home early. No idea if it'll be open tomorrow. Luckily, DH checked all our drains when it rained last week, so we seem OK atm.

Scuzz - big hugs. Sure you'll do what you think is best, but do take some time to get some rest, and do some things that you enjoy.

    Pooky - Happy Birthday!

Crazychic - please PM me when you put your things on eBay - DD loves the last lot - I have some photos, so will post them when I have a mo!

It's DD's dance show tonight - if I can get there, as the roads here are flooding in parts.

    Hi Everyone

Just committed the cardinal sin - didn't save my short post! You would think I would have learned by now!!!

Anyway, basically I was asking about you all and explaining I have been rather tired over weekend. Work is manic too and I can't post readily from there anyway.

Hope you are all OK. Hugs and kisses to you all whether you are celebrating, feeling poorly or have other problems. I do think about you all.

I will hopefully catch up with you all soon. You will see below that we are still very much grandparents in waiting!!! Not even a twinge since last Sunday!!! Could be interesting at the wedding they are going to on Saturday (I thought it was the following week but it isn't!) Maybe should contact reception hotel to make sure plenty hot water and towels available.

Just wanted to ask how you are coping with the awful weather that was forecast this morning. Hope no-one in a state of flood. We have had heating on here today as it has been really cool and windy.

    Love to you all
