    Well done Shinner!
Tomorrow is day 14 for me, and I cannot explain how hard this evening has been for me!!! The cravings have been the worst ive experienced so far and I dont know how I have managed to get past them.... still struggling so thinking the best things may be to go to bed.

Thank you :) With a bit of luck I will wake up tomorrow back to normal and feeling strong. The strong cravings make me feel like just giving in, but if I do that I start all over again and will end up feeling like this again at some point.

This is the furthest I have ever come so I would feel so disappointed for starting again.

Off to get my large cold glass of water :)

I'm going to subscribe to this. Hopefully it will help to motivate me to stop again. I did stop for stoptober last year but then after about 5 or so weeks I started again.
I am currently using smoking as a 'crutch'. Lots going on just now.
Stress levels through the roof and suffering from anxiety.
Not trying to make excuses -that's just how it is for me right now. :(
Well done to everyone so far and continued good luck in your quest.
I shall probably lurk until I feel strong enough to quit-again.

  • Hi everyone
I have managed another day without a cigarette :)

Laura you are doing so well, 14 days already that's a great achievment and encouraging to others. We can do this! keep strong.

Sax11 and June.Elizabeth how are you both doing?

Hello Shinner well done! I have never really fancied going to the smoking cessation classes, think it is because I imagine people sitting in a group and I would feel uncomfortable with that lol

Hi Tattycath I hope when you are ready, you find the strength to stop smoking again. Anxiety plays havoc with us look after yourself.

Thanks everyone for posting you are all keeping me going and inspiring each other.

    Debbie x
  • I am doing ok. The champix seems to work well for me I still think "I would really like to have a cigarette" but I seem to be able to talk myself out of it. So far anyway. I have jest re read Alan Carrs book and I think it helps physiologically (sp) I am now 8 days smoke free. Glad you are doing ok. Keep it up x

Off the tablets completely and back to smoking again

The problem i have is work is so monotonous i break it up by having a ciggie every hour or so, now just a habit. Think i need a new job or something that can occupy my time. Weekends aren't a problem as i'm always busy and in the evening if i have none then i can cope.

Some adult anti scratch mittens are needed here - at least then i can't hold them :D
